Can you post the stats on the Blackened Breastplate of the Vault? Wowwiki doesn't have it and Wowhead is blocked at work.

The profession-only stuff I'm not including - I can't assume that the reader is a blacksmith/engineer/jewelcrafter/whatever, and that's too many contingencies to account for. The items I list are meant to be readily available to anyone.

No worries on the professions. I understand what you're trying to go for Baelor.

The BS chest is a pretty good one though.

For those of us at maintankadin, the BS only chestpiece is as follows:

Chestplate of Conquest

2043 Armor
+88 Strength
+57 Stamina
Durability 135 / 135
Requires Level 78
Requires Armorsmith
Equip: Improves critical strike rating by 38 (0.96% @ L78).
Equip: Improves haste rating by 25 (0.88% @ L78).

actually beats out the oracles and savage saronite shoulders with 2x16 Str gems

Oddly, http://www.wowhead.com/?item=44188 is actually a pretty good starter DPS cloak, beating out Illskar's for my stat weightings at least.

Ragesteel? I'm not gonna recommend people use old world materials and socket rare quality gems for the starter gear list, but I'll take a look at that over the weekend (when I'm at my home comp and have some more time) and see if I might want to add it to the "expensive" list.

Savage Saronite Hauberk is okay, I have it listed on the "expensive" list as it's the only chestpiece one can acquire without leaving town, so it fit on that list better. I'm hoping that people will use these two lists in tandem, figuring out which "expensive" pieces they can afford and which quests they all ready took the "wrong" reward for to come up with a decent set on their own.

Cloak of the Deadliest Game is no where close to the tanking cloak. Cloak of Holy Extermination is a bit closer. Will post with the math soon.

25 hit

Holy gives
52 AP
34.4 crit rating (the equivelent of)
25 ArP

If we equate hit and crit rating then it becomes a matter of
19.3 AP versus 9.4 crit rating and 25 ArP
