You can lead a horse to water ...
and you can watch it drown when it forgets how to drink. on that note i may have them solo heal it and our other healer rock the leet tree punch dps.
Again. What grim vision this? Blood stained tomb, beer cans, and piss. This. Is no life...for a god.

We tend to have negative left, positive right. Everyone is supposed to stack up near his feet to stack the debuffs. We also run to the right around him to avoid crossing charges during transitions and we always call out Polarity Shifts in vent because people don't notice. When he's starting a Polarity Shift everyone should be watching their debuff icons like a hawk for the swap.
If they're dying anyway, have them focus on just watching their polarity. Instruct them to do NOTHING else until they're surviving. It's not like they were contributing more while dead anyway.

Rotation
I would say don't be sending people through the middle. People with fps issues are going to lag and end up killing your tank and others as they lag through. Have the tank hold him in the middle and he pivots on his own little circle to one side or the other. Everyone else does a clockwise rotation around him. As long as everyone is moving that needs to and goes wide around him clockwise you shouldn't ever run into people. If he continues to fail at it, then it sounds like you need to pug a 3rd. Having two healers in there is already a liability since they aren't giving you dps and if this guy is just hitting and killing people they are just causing unnecessary damage that requires even more healing. Just imagine if they weren't there messing things up and the raid was taking little or no damage.

Convo between Raidleader and said healer should go like:
Raid Leader: "goto xx.yyy.com and look at the pretty pictures on how it should be done. LEARN. IF you cant we wont invite you to naxx runs and we will pug a healer".
Priest: "..."
Raid Leader: "L2P"
Worst case scenario take a few people to mechanar (non heroic) and get him to practice there!

Ellifain @ Khaz'Goroth does not approve of torture, save where there's experience/rep/loot involved.

Failing few times when learning fight - fine.
Failing in future once - liability, but still can pass.
Failing over and over and over - not fine.. person is ****, and doesn't deserve to raid.
I mean.. c'm on... if you have DBM - you get a huge warning, you get also a sound warning to move, and yet you fail. How???
From my point of view, 1st polarity shift is crucial so people move to right positions. After that it really has to be smooth sailing, as you can see when he casts polarity shift, you see DBM warnings.
If people still fail over and over, gkick them, find decent replacements. Otherwise those people will just drag you and your guild down.

Something I didn't know, but DBM has an OPTION you can enable for the Thaddius fight that puts a Big-ass Blue Arrow in the center of your screen when your polarity changes. It's much more noticeable than Even More Text popping up.

this sounds simplistic but it works.
Have them get Deadly Boss Mods. CLEAR VENT COMPLETELY! There's no need to call an incoming change. A sound will play when their polarity changes. If they miss the sound they fail. Its very noticeable if no one is chitter chatting on vent.
Also have them take a Post-It Note....
Have them draw a little stick figure on it. Put a Negative sign on the left side of the little man.... put a Plus sign on the right side of the little man.
Stick it to the moniter. If someone gets confused or turned around this will help them orient themselves w/o having to ask questions and possibly confusing others.
The important thing is to keep vent clear.
Another trick is to take a hunter/warlock pet and practice on it. Clear the hall way on the way to the boss. Practice running circles and having someone make pretend sounds for polarity shifts. On any boss fight that is situational and requires individual movement this tactic almost always helps people!
In the end though if your healers can't get it figured out you do need to replace them. Some people will just never catch on.
Edit: tankspot.com has videos of all the Naxx fights. They're an overall view of the fight and good for EVERYONE to watch. Maybe not raid for a week but require people to be online and make them watch all the videos. Or you can have people watch the video before the boss fight. It will take you a few nights to clear, but it may help out in the end.

there's an add-on that indicates the fails on raids, like crossing charges, not making the jump on Thad and failing the dance, frogger, etc..
With that you could see which players keeps failing on the same task over an over and maybe instruct him/her of how to do it or maybe kick them out of raid if they keep doing it..

we actually had a drood healer that had very bad lag during an undying run... she had already asked to be replaced for thaddius because she was fairly certain she would wipe ppl due to her immense lag...
we just told her to not jump down from the platform, this meant she could heal the negative side but she never got a charge buff...
unfortunately we lost a mage on heigan due to a dc... we proceded to finish naxx with that being the only death in an otherwise undying run :/

Usually Heigan is as far as we get for immortal. Our shad priest DC'd durning Heigan lastnight and we just healed the S out of him til he disappeared then we yelled at him to not log in lawl. We made it all the way to Gothik but we only had two tanks and the live side lost a priest...still the furthest we've gotten so yay!
Thadius is now officially a wipe fest again because we do not yet have Shocking...failbot is great.

On normal-mode he does the damage reflective shield, not the polarity shift, so it would have to be Heroic.
In our Undying run 2 weeks ago, we had ONE person cross charges on Thadd because he had new addons and didn't know where Thad's cast bar was, so he didn't know a shift was inc.

If your DPS is alright just spread out, tank in the middle & a healer either side (i.e. they dont cross when they jump down from the platforms). Healers will each have 1 or 2 people only they can reach to heal, but there's hardly any raid damage if you spread out.
You'll lack stacks of charges, hence why your dps needs to be alright, but if your players have brains they can easily determine who has what charge, and stack if they are close then move back to their space when he is about to switch polarity.
Has worked fine for us doing both achievements on him.

If you feel like sitting down on vent with them for a while, you could get them set up with Powerauras so it makes a huge transparent + covering the screen when they're plus and a huge transparent - covering the screen when they're minus. This would also be far more reliable than DBM (I hear the thaddius warning on DMB can be a bit late sometimes. Wouldn't know because I don't rely on mods to play the game.)
