[25]Malygos totally untankable ?

Ok, we headed tonight for malygos 10 x2 which went fine and then went for the 25 version as players have joined.

However, I feel like malygos is now a totally random encounter due the some bug almost one shooting a tank.

I happened several times that I have been from full health to dead in no time:

I have hear of issues during P2, but how am I supposed to survive 46518 damages ?

If someone can point me what was wrong, that would really help a lot.

Looks like you got hit by three explosions. That would mean 2 other people were standing close enough to get the breathe debuff (and somehow survived) then explodinated you.
edit: seems there was a breathe attack at 00:58'12.000? Then you died around 5 seconds later to 3 explosions? That's s'all I got.

Malygos 25 does a great deal more damage than the 10. The breathe attack is a lot worse.

Basically what Elsie is saying. This is what hit you http://fr.wowhead.com/?spell=60072 . It's normal for that debuff to hit you, but if raid members get in front of Malygos, they'll get the debuff too, and when it goes off it'll take you down if they are still in range.

I have heard that pets are bugging on that fight and causing issues. Hunters, demo locks and unholy DKs should be warned.

We had problems 2 nights ago with mystery breaths from "Unknown" and they stopped when I had everyone put away their pets.

That's arcane breath.
Forgot about logs aren't translated in wws, I was a bit upset about the instant deaths.

Players weren't near me but I think pets were hanging around.
I'll ask to remove pets next time, thanks a lot for the tip.

This. Pets currently lag before following players, so players with pets gotta spam follow while they run away too.

Also the explosion is much larger then it was before 3.0.8; so it could be careless players.

Is this what it is? Our first real night of 25 man attempts, we had HUGE issues with people just randomly dieing from 20k+ hits, that were labeled in the combat log as breaths, but they were obviously behind the dragon, usually melees, though we did have more than a few instances of casters and healers getting nuked.

It makes a lot more sense if it's pets getting hit with the breath debuff, then getting back behind the mob, or following their master towards the back of the raid, and finally exploding, and taking out several people.

Though we did come back 2 days later, after clearing naxx, and did get him down, it took us several tries (the lag on Aggramarr, and the Vindication battlegroup, is getting really REALLY old), but I also don't remember us having any issues with people getting randomly instagibbed, during phase one, on the second night.

i have personally called "dismiss pets" on a middle attempt (#5), and all breaths ceased - except the usual one on the MT.

spent a few attempts then on optimizing some of the nits, and got him last week.

for us, pets seemed to make the difference
