Thanks so much for the global thermonuclear device suggestion. Consecrate can suck it, and now I finally don't lose half the whelps when they spawn.

Now I just need to learn how to walk everywhere backwards so I don't get creamed by turning my back on 10-15 adds.

Oh and I need to try this for myself but I'm told that disabling certain mods (e.g. Recount) can really improve framerates on weaker PCs like mine... Any more than 10-12 adds and it really turns into a slideshow for me, unfortunately.

Yeah, recount, questhelper and heavy stuff like that needs to go if your framerates are suffering :) If you've got a way to track addon-usage, you'll spot the sinners quickly. Recount is one of them.
