[10] Sarth +3 odd drake behavior

Postby firstamendme » Tue Jan 13, 2009 6:23 am

My guild has been attempting Sarth+3 (with increasing amounts of success) and I am typically the Drake tank. I have noticed an odd behavior that the druid tank can confirm during the one attempt we had him on drakes.

Every once and awhile with no apparent trigger, the drake will drop his target. He doesn't drop aggro as I still have a commanding lead on omen, he just stops attacking and goes for a walk toward the other side of the island. After a few seconds of wandering, he reaquires me as his target and toddles over. The only issue, is after he reaquires he still breaths as he comes back to me which can cause a problem if he wondered into the raid.

Is there something that causes this that I'm not seeing? It seems rather odd for that to be an intended mechanic. Any one else seen this?

Thanks for your help.

Ah ok, sorry for the repost. I tried to find a response before posting but I didn't get far enough into that thread when it briefly came up.

All three drakes go stupid and run around for a few seconds after spawning their avatar in the twilight. It's not a big deal unless they decide to breathe immediately when they come out of it (before coming back into position), or the next-highest-threat player is in melee range before you are, and within ~10% threat.

255 characters is not enough to fit my alts' armories in.
