[25] Interesting Patchwerk WWS

I was linked this parse of a Patchwerk kill in 25msn (it looks like to be that at least) of a Prot Paladin literally topping the DPS meter for the fight with ease.

I was wondering if anyone have had similar parses or if this could simply be a freak occurance. I did notice he was/is spec'd 58/13 with full Reck, but other then that I couldn't see any real tricks he might have used during it. It doesn't seem like he's using the usual rotation but then it's 3am and I could very well be misreading the parse.

That's a crapton of damage done in ~10 seconds. I didn't notice any other insanely big damagespikes at other times of the fight.

I've seen weird things like this happen to me. There were a few of our sarth +3drake attempts where I was just demolishing the adds. About 2 times actually, I'd be top dps. One time was something crazy like 7200 and the other was 5000+dps. Each time I saw it first on recount and then later again on the wws.

The weirdest part of it all, was that it didn't seem to just be a read error. I was getting about 10 adds and just killing them before anybody assisted me with them, so I don't really know what it was. I tried figuring out how to repeat it, but I couldn't =///

So, my guild had to settle for the normal 3200ish dps I do on that fight instead of me blowing everybody out of the water haha. Man I wish we could figure out what bug this is and play with it a bit until it's fixed.

It's not just pallies, every tank has had it. It's a bug, expect it fixed soon.

I doubt that. It procs ~15s before the insane damage started and nothing happened during the first proc.

Hysteria is the 31-point talent in the deathknight blood tree. It increases physical damage dealt by 20% for 30 seconds, but deals 1% of the target's total health every second. The "absorbed by ___ for a moment" message indicates the damage was prevented by a damage absorbtion mechanic such as power word: shield, which prevents the next X damage to the target. So basically, power word: shield or a similar effect ate the periodic damage tick from Hysteria.

Oh. If you die to Hysteria ticks, it's a pvp death/suicide and you don't take durability. Also, the death knight gets confused because they get a random killing blow note on SCT.

There is a bug that causes this. A blue posted, maybe a week or two ago, that they know about the issue and believe they figured out the cause.

BTW, yes you are reading that right...Holy Shield should be your top holy damage source. Patch hits are fast and furious, giving the chance for lots and lots of blocks.

(*I had ~50% total avoidance for the hits on this encounter and a 90% block rate of the hits that did not get avoided.)

If your curious why my white damage was top damage....I had 14 reckoning procs responsible for ~45-56 hits. Basically Reckoning was a ~50% white damage boost for this fight.

(*and some silly people think reckoning always sucks HA!)

That's around 800,000 damage in 10 seconds...

Make it happen a couple more times and see if you can solo him.

Def related to trinket. Had same thing happen while MTing patchwerk few weeks ago. Was using that trinket, wasn't able to reproduce. Doing around 7500DPS. bluepost quote:

Like I said, it's probably fixed already, but you can never be too sure.
