We aren't using an extra healer, the group consists of 2 tanks, 3 healer and 5 dps. I see no reason to start kiting them when it's easy and uncomplicated to just tank them on the grate...
They hit for about 2-2,5K but even with 10-15 of them I dodge or parry more than enough of the attacks. I need to check how many of them are there when we next reach him...

That's my point you have 3 healers. You could do this encounter with 2 if you avoided unnecessary fighting.
And while you'll usually avoid some of the attacks there is always the chance that they will all hit at once which could be fatal.

Faster with 2. Your plan require a metric ton of extra healing which forces you to carry an extra healer longer than other raid groups would have to.

Sure it's faster, but I think you'll find 3 healers more often than a 2 healer setup. And if you have the healing with you it'd be stupid not to use it.

I don't see you're problem here. You take 2 healer and kite the zombies...
We take 3 healers and can tank the zombies.. You are the one who has to jump through some more loops to go through Naxx faster...
We take the 3 healers into every fight.

And who defined that speed = optimal? We are a casual bunch of people, so optimal = we all have fun...

If you're kiting and you don't have a good kiting path you are doing it wrong. He implied he ran around like a headless chicken when he kited and that is the wrong way to kite them. To me that says he was obviously doing the kiting worng. That's not to say that he couldn't develop a suboptimal strategy that let his raid group complete the encounter (which isn't necessarily wrong). He kited the wrong way but he did not do the encounter the wrong way.Wolvar wrote:Then stop using prhases like "you're doing it wrong", cuz he obviously isn't.

But he admittedly failed at kiting because he was doing it the wrong way. He did not fail with his suboptimal method and thus did not do the encounter wrong. Your comments seem to in responce to a conversation that is not actually occuring.

Nowhere did he admit to "failing at kiting", he implied it was his preference to tank them. Nothing wrong with that. You are right in a way, this is more in reference to "you are doing it wrong" all over this board. This is merely a minor example of such.
