Stupid question incoming:
Assuming Sarth breaths up to 72k damage when all acolytes are up, a Paladin with 18% (i know slightly less, but let's assume that) magic damage reduction would get hit for 59k damage.
This means that to survive a hit with Hand/Roar of Sacrifice up a Paladin would need 40k HP but... not even a druid can get that high HP and the druid would be even taking more damage... or i'm missing something in this?
So, i'd assume this is the worse worse worse case and that would RNG down even a druid, and usually a powerful breath will hit for 60k, reduced to 49k, further reduced to 34k, which is absorbeable easily with a power word shield.
So, am i fine to tank this crap with 43k+ raidbuffed HP? (translated to 33k after aura) or i need more?
A) Once Vesperon acolyte is up, Sarth tank stops attacking. When breath is casting, hit one special attack about 2 seconds before the breath casts. Doing so removes the 75% fire damage modifier on that breath while Twilight Torment cools down, making the maximum possible breath survivable with a cooldown running on the tank.
B) The primary DPS check of the encounter is reducing the amount of time that Shadron and Vesperon are both up simultaneously to a minimum. In our kills, this is normally a period of maybe 30-45 seconds.
C) Our feral druid has 55k HP raid buffed. Thats over 40k even with the Vesperon aura.
Arkham's Razor: a theory which states the simplest explaination tends to lead to Cthulu.

Polar Gear + mostly best in slot elsewhere should send him over 50k with raid buffs. I believe ours sits right around 52k, which puts him right at 40k with the health debuff of the fight.

Heh, we've had this happen on more than one occasion. We even FRAPSed it once. Boomkin/Ranged move out of a lava wave near Sarth's tail, Sarth breaths on the tank, all the people at the tail of the dragon die.

Just confirming this. It is no longer possible to remove Twilight Torment. Hitting either Sartharion (who is now properly immune) or any add does not remove the debuff.
Forces a pretty strict group comp now

Did anyone notice something oddish about S3D tonight? Like the stuff that falls from the sky seems to actually be doing some damage, Flame Wall doing more damage and other little things adding up during the encounter?
Couple people are swearing up and down that they died to the Falling Fire Stuffn damage and Grim Reaper's backing them up.

And if you avoid the falling fire stuff you get an achievement! It's a targeted projectile, but you can move out of the way (so if you stand still you WILL get hit eventually). Being on add duty makes avoiding them really hard since you can't really pay attention to falling crap and always catch a few by accident. AFIK the damage is buffed by the drakes.
