Yes. And there simply isnt anything better, or as good, you could take for those 5 talent point.
But anyone silly enough to skip it will probably not listen to reason anyway, so lets move on.

Frankly I'd prefer holy and ret get it, and the tank get reckoning or something for more RDPS. Just my opinion, though.

Well as of the patch notes for 3.1, Kings will be trainable (I believe at 20).
So that should take care of any whinging.
