The Burning Crusade Free?
I've been following WotLK development a good bit, but I never read anything about Burning Crusade being free. Now that (for most players) it'll consist of a nerfed ten levels and irrelevant raid content, it seems silly to charge $30 just to get another $40 for WotLK so quickly.
Has anyone read anything on this?

I'd not be surprised if soon they start selling vanilla+tbc at the same price it used to sell before.
That said, i don't know in America, but in Europe WoW Vanilla costs 14-15 €, TBC costs the same, total of 30 €, not far from 40 $ if i'm not wrong.

Here, Vanilla effectively costs $5. To "activate" your account, you pay $20, but it comes with a free month.

I'm not sure how this is relevant.

They probably will do either a price drop or a combo sell for BC at some point. With LK right here they stand to make tons of extra money for having to buy each xpac. I'd guess they'll wait a month or 2 once LK has it's roots down and then lower the costs of BC.

I'm not sure about other places, but in the UK retailers I've seen Vanilla and TBC being packed together and sold as a bundle for some time now for around £15 Sterling.
edit: Link to said bundle on the EU Blizzard store

As usual the blizz store costs more but on the streets it's £15.
