I selected howling fjord, but I'm probably going to grind the Borean Tundra opening quests around Warsong Hold, then do the Howling Fjord instance a few dozen times. Hopefully my wife and I be 71.5 or 72 and everyone else around us will be 70 for shared areas.
Alliance outnumber horde 3:1 on my server.
edit: also, the quests with Warsong should get me friendly for the tabard. This means the heavy instance grind should knock a lot out of the way.
I'd recommend to everyone on a pvp server doing both starting areas first. Most people will be heading to the higher areas as soon as possible. So this way I can get 73 and gank 70-71s.

I'm thinking that I will do 70-73 in Black Morass. Should give 100k+ exp per clear, 5 clears per hour rested. Other option is the mobs on in the BT roof / outer zone.
Then start quest grinding in the opening zone.
Compared to months grinding hardcore CS/Baal in D2/LoD, a day or so on this is nothing.

Kind of tangential, but I have 2 questions:
(1) Is it worth stocking up on high xp Outlands quest (15k+ XP) and turning them all in on Wrath day? Someone said they're going to nerf all Outland quest xp, so it's pointless.
(2) If you have a passive uncrushable set, and can solo pull all of Black Morass, is that a viable leveling strategy for the first 1-3 levels, or should you just put on your ret/prot gear and quest?

Hmm. When this happens, I'll probably log my banker and watch angry people yell at noobs asking how to get to Northrend.
I rule.

Pretty much gonna stick to Borean horde side, I prefer it but I also be clearing Fjord in it's entirety as well before I jump to Dragonblight so I will be popping back and forth.

let me quote PsiVen:
"you need to be 71-72 to start questing in DB/GH"
wowhead says the same -> http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?zone=65#quests:0+3+1+2
most quests require clvl 71 or higher.

Why quote him? He made a statement without giving a reason for it.
Stating that most quests require level 71 answered it. Which is what I wanted to know. Thank you for that.
