So what do you say to this 11pt?

As an 11 pt talent heres my suggestion:

Hand of the Righteous Pure Just Crusader-Guardian of the Light.

Works like a spell reflect, but instead of reflecting damage it causes the magic damage to heal
the target instead.


PvP Utility

    Helps to survive against casters.
    It can be controlled by other classes: Healing reduction debuffs, Faking Casts, shooting cheap low damage instants at the paladin.
    It can still be used by surprise just before the big Pyro hits.

PvE Utility

    Same as spell reflect, reduce Magic damage, make soloing casters a bit easier while questing.

Possible tweaks

    If its considered OP it can always be mofied to make it heal for only X% of the damage. Forbearance
    and long cooldowns are NOT an option since they would make it close to useless for Prot.
    It can be made a "Bubble" instead of a "Hand" i.e. making it only self castable.

I'd like the spellreflect dynamic with holy shield. Reflect 20% of incoming spelldmg or so.

I'd rather not have another talent that gives us something Warriors have baseline.

I would agree on this before when our tree was bloated, nowadays I dont see that much problem.

Huh, interesting idea (the original spell absorb -> healing one). I rate it up there with my other two current favorites, which are no more running like an idiot while feared and DS only absorbing magic damage.

Sadly it seems inevitable that our 11 pt Talent will be a Ret PVP toy.


I'd surmise it's going to be some sort of gap closer, or alternatively a way of dealing with mana burn mechanics... man i'm beginning to hate Ret Paladins.

A gap closer like charge / feral charge would be pretty useful for prot pve also. Hell blizz could have a field day with it and come up with an awesome name too..

They seem to be pretty commited to fixing the mana burn problem by just changing all burns to a % of max, rather than giving us a tool to deal with them. I wouldn't expect any new ability to be related to that.

How about a single target taunt which compels the target to run towards you, even in PvP?

That would be an awesome distance closer!

Would be like inverse fear, wouldn't prevent them attacking, but just forces them to keep walking towards you until they are in melee range.

It would also be really good for moving casters in 5mans, or soloing spellcasters since you can use it as an interupt.

Instant Cast
Mana usage here
Absurd Cooldown here

You charge the enemy causing them to be stunned for 1 second.


It'd also work well for an interupt perhaps? Obviously not for most bosses but atleast on trash/caster mobs :D

I'll take Charge. As long as I can use it in combat like Warbringer.

IMAGINE IT.
Tankadins with charge.
Ret Pallis with charge.
HEALERS WITH CHARGE.
