PVP Shoulders

Postby gmf1 » Thu Oct 09, 2008 9:35 pm

Hello, having no luck getting epic shoulders, ones in kara wont drop, fail pugs cant do 1st timed chest and i never win t4 from gruuls.

So what pvp shoulders should i get? Are they changing the stats on them, to the new stats or am i just guna have to get the ret ones if there not guna change prot ones to strength?

Also how much Resil ='s how much Defence? Tried working it out myself but just hurt my brain, i've also tried searching for it but no luck.

Thankyou.

I have the S2 shoulders because I was in a similar situation, and tired of the stupid D3 blues. I took the Lamellar shoulders, as the spell damage was good on live, but I find that on PTR they are not ideal. I would choose the ret shoulders for the strength, even though they have no defensive stats.

it's PVP, you're not gonna get defensive stats

So what pvp shoulders should i get?

You should get the Ret ones (http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?item=32043) because:

Are they changing the stats on them, to the new stats or am i just guna have to get the ret ones if there not guna change prot ones to strength?

As you can see: http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?item=31996
It's still Spell Power. 36 Strength beats 25 SP.

Also how much Resil ='s how much Defence? Tried working it out myself but just hurt my brain, i've also tried searching for it but no luck.

It's a 2 to 3 ratio. 39.42 Resilience = 1% crit = 25 Def Skill = 59.13 Def Rating => 39.42 / 59.13 = 2/3. So the 18 Resil on the Ret shoulders would be 27 Def equivalent for crit reduction.

Oh and I should point out that those Ret shoulders are roughly equivalent to these level 75 quested blues: http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?item=39172.

Thankyou.

You're welcome.

Ty guys, ille start pvping, really wanted to be in full epics for wrath :) And they should help for uncrit in 3.0 :) Why there are no badge shoulders, or crafted epic shoulders beets me.

shoulders are a hard thing to come by in T4/Pre T4, options are PVP, T4, Mantle of Abrhamis (Spite) and then the Righteous shoulders from Laj

There's also paulders of Dementia and Fanblade Pauldrons from heroics. I personally had both prekara but then again I was decked out in the best crafted and badge gear before I ever set foot in kara.
