Where is the new Protection 11 1-Point Talent?

Personally I think there's nothing going in there because they're still running numbers to see if Critical Block isn't going to cause an issue at uber gear levels.

If that's the case and there is an issue, expect our 11-point to be Holy Critical Block (Batman!).

If it isn't, maybe they'll give up and make kings a 1-pointer again, but that would require a second 5-pointer on Tier 1. And I really don't want that to be Redoubt; I like where it is and what it does, within reason.

What I'd really like to see is this:

Holy Resolve: The Paladin will not move and can still block (but not parry or dodge) attacks while under the effects of Fear.

Because let's face it. If you're terrified, why WOULDN'T you hunker down behind that big metal plate strapped to your arm?

The Holy Inquisition (the name sucks, but cannot come up with something better :P)
30 seconds cool down
Allows the paladin to block the next magic attack reducing damage taken by x*BV and silences the caster for 2 seconds.

Because, as someone said one day: Warriors hide behind their shields. Paladins hide their shield behind the light.

We don't "hunker down" behind our shields. Begone! O_o

I like that "reduce spells within blocking arc for BV damage" talent mentioned before. Sounds like it solves all sorts of problems all together.

-Magic mitigation
-Not overpowering to ret or holy
-More reason for all the BV on our tier sets.
-Fits with the "less spikey" theme of tanking vs. more dramatic but not always on effects like Spell Reflect/Anti-Magic Shell etc.

Blessing of Kings was great. Ret and Holy could also make great use of it.

Not what kind of 11 Point Talent could replace that? I would wish for a movement ability. Charge/Jump something like that.

Would be great for ret too, not so great for holy but hey *g*

I doubt we'll get a "charge" type of ability, especially since they had to axe Heroic Leap and Demonic Leap.

id like a type of intervene tbh...
warriors and druids have the ability to charge in combat, closing ground on the targets.. but... they can now taunt from 20 yards as well?

id like a "charge your opponent and perhaps disarm them for 6-10 seconds.
gives holy something for pvp, ret for pvp/pve and prot a ground closing ability.

I kinda get the feeling that this would be hard to implement, with spell hit mechanics. I'm game for a compromise: reduces all non-perodic spell damage by 1/2 your BV. (This is, the ability has no affect on DoTs.)

On A Mission From Light - 1/1
Requires 10 points in Protection talents
Experience gained from killing monsters and all reputation gains increased by 10%. Does not stack with other effects that increase reputation or experience gains.

I'm not saying what I want or what I'd like whatever. I'm just saying. I perfectly expect a contrite response from Blizzard saying that it is our 11 pointer unfortunately.
