Where is the new Protection 11 1-Point Talent?

Postby q111 » Fri Oct 03, 2008 9:14 am

I didn't seen anything blue about this question and nobody asked in the US-Beta-Forums for it:

Is there any clue about the new Prot 11 Points 1 Skillpoint-Talent? Or did they completely forget about it.

And if somebody can post in the US-Paladin-Beta-Forums: can you ask for it there; maybe Ghostcrawler really forget about it!

If I recall correctly a few days ago there was a post on it, but a blue didn't respond to it. The fact is it seems like they are running out of time to add an 11 point talent, the game ships in just a few weeks and the patch is coming out in 2-3 weeks as well.

Wide signature is wide.

Also there's plenty of time for them to add something after 3.0 hits if necessary.

I doubt they'll add one and if they do, don't expect anything amazing like an anti-caster tool. It would have to be deep enough in the tree to be inaccessible to other specs for it to be amazing.

Something to offset the mitigation difference would be nice, but I guess looking at the tree I am satisfied with the changes. I'm just not satisfied with BV mechanics.

Yes, but it it's sad that they didn't look into the protection-tree to see that there is a 1-Point-Talent in T3 missing.

I think thats the spec I'm looking at now. Has 2 points free that I don't know what to do with, lol. Having a true 11 point talent would account for one of them. Though, I could forgo kings, and have 5 more points, but idk. If other pallies refrained from kings because I have it, that leaves me with kings or sanctuary.. ugh.

what would be an interesting 11 point talent. Give us a permanent effect of blessing of kings, but the actual blessing no longer has any effect.

A spell reflect that required a shield would be a nice 11 pointer. You can make it as awesome as you want...some things suggested were "reflects 60% of the spell damage to the caster as holy damage". This would be really nice. If the talent required shields, I can't see too many rets or holys going 11 points deep to get it, since they won't equip the shield often enough to use it.

I created a post asking if there was going to be an 11 point talent, or if they were planning on adding the "2 cool deep prot talents", still.

But as of yet, no reply.

Actually, you can only pull 2 points out of your current prot tree build, assuming you don't want to lose something at T6 or lower. Essentially, these days it's 56 points in prot, and 15 left over.

Yeah, we get 100% health as a base ability at level 10. That's pretty good. :)

true enough, the question is what to do with them. Could reallocate points out of kings, but the rest is rather lackluster, especially with SoV being superior in every aspect to SoR, even the glyph.(ie, reckoning).
