Dismantle, takes away our shield. Perfect for creating an opener to stun us.

good thing chaosbolt shouldnt affect us, our shield is immunity, not absorbing, Chaosbolt vs cheat Death, finaly a weapon against that freakish immunitything of rogues

CoS isn't an absorption effect, its simply 90% less chance to be hit by spells. A rogue can be frost novad / polyd / shadowbolted and anything else while CoS'd, you just either have to be retardedly lucky or have a ridiculous amount of hit to get past that 96% spellhit cap with it up

Chaos Bolt is a tricky one. The wording differs on some sites and just recently the official calculator used to say that it ignores immunity effects too, but I just checked it and it's gone.
Like they say, bind all buttons to FoL and just roll your head over the keyboard.

I don't think it will make a difference. Dismantle has a 1 mintue cooldown, so really only useful a couple times in a fight, and only lasts 10 seconds -- like disarm. A stunlock would have similar effect as an opener. Though, without a shield, our armor class would be worse, so we'd take probably 10% more damage during that time. If they did it later in a fight, that seems like a good time to bubble->bandage or something similar.

We would take significantly more damage, but then again, what we're good at is staying alive, so I'm not worried. :)

WotLK will show spellmiss and spellresists!
if a spell misses due hitrating it shows miss, if it is resisted due resistance it will show resist
Cloak of shadows
Instantly removes all existing harmful spell effects and increases your chance to resist all spells by 90% for 5 sec. Does not remove effects that prevent you from using Cloak of Shadows.

Sends a bolt of chaotic fire at the enemy, dealing 990 to 1256 Fire damage. Chaos Bolt cannot be resisted, and pierces through all absorption effects.

Chaos Bolt is Anti-CoS!

huh? Dont know what haxx server rogues you've been playing against, but it takes a REALLY GOOD rogue in REALLY GOOD gear to beat a prot pally. To give you a comparison, my good friend can barely beat me in my Kara gear. He's an 1800 rogue with S3/S4; my arena is around 1350. I can even bean him occasionally. We only duel for his sake, for the challenge.

OT: But we used to duel back in vanilla and I would beat him wearing only a Helm, Boots, Shield and a grey backpiece. I punched & HS'd him to death...lol.

As far as the shield removal...it's uptime is only ~15%...so meh. Maybe will help them close you out, but if your smart and keep your HP up...he shouldnt be able to stun lock or burst you dead, especially with AD.
