Well, I disagree about Retribution Aura, but I get your point about Hammer of Wrath. It was a last second addition, anyway.

Good point about the dilution of 1HWS, though you'll still be using HotR and ShoR when OTing unless you're really mana starved -- they do not really use that much mana, just barely more than Judgement (6% base mana versus 5%). Still, Consecration and Holy Shield are the first things to go.

One last point, though: 1HWS also increases our white damage. While currently it's laughable, it is still a considerable portion... and with the AP increases and weapons with actual damage ranges, it's only going up.

My last posts have been more in the interest of getting it accurate than getting my point proven, anyway. I'm much more interested in the former rather than the latter.
