It is a great change. You had to re-Seal anyhow. With 2 Min Seals you have a lot less Mana for doing what we always did.

And with new 51 + Shield Bash we anyhow have a little Problem with our CDs.

I can see the one button tanking macro coming

I'd like it better if those seals still lasted 30s, took 1/4 of the mana they take now and judgement was off GCD but consuming the seals.

That way, you gain the possibility to change your seals every 10(8)s.
If you do that now you have to spent a GCD more. The change to SoV made seal twisting an option, now its nerfed again.

And since it now is off ppm and has 100% chance to proc instead, als well as its duration increased to 18s its a lot more reliable now.

If you'd switch seals every 9s you'd get almost full threat from SoV and 50% of the threat of SoR without screwing your rotation up.

Perhaps that's the very reason they raised seal mana cost, so seal-twisting wasnt as favourable

Go to the Theory Craft Thing in the sticky. See the scaling of SoV vs. SoR. Wave goodbye to SoR. You will not tank with that any more. That is a thing of the past.

I had a hard time not "resealing" already... well, i replaced my SoR binding with HotR and problem solved.

I don't see that as a bad thing at all, either. There is no reason that a level 1 skill should be more favorable than a level 63(?) skill. Each can have a niche use, but the low one shouldn't always be better than the high one.

It's Ok for PVE, however if you are ever attacked by a priest or shaman as a holy or prot pally, you can be kept from being able to judge which is too restrictive in my opinion. You can't even downrank as purge bait anymore. If they are going to go with Judgement on the GCD and high mana cost seals (because you don't have to cast them very often) then they need to make them not dispellable.
