Did the light touch you? Can you show the nice people of the court here on this doll where the light touch you Stromy?

But in all seriousness it will be nice to have the weapon lists opened up to us now that +spell dmg isn't as important as now. The fact that +stam is +spell power. Pali can now use a big 'ol mean nasty beat stick instead of a rock candy lolly pop or a silly flimsy etherial light sword and still be rockin' the Threat charts.

Hopefully now with Lich King ex coming, we will be seeing that last of weapons that feature large pieces of neon colour rock.

I was looking at grabbing a http://www.wowhead.com/?item=32236 when starting wotlk. Has some hit, high damage, stamina and is slow. Seems pretty much what people asked for earlier on with the Hotr.

I picked up a syphon this week http://www.wowhead.com/?item=32262 so maybe that will work out, but I'll probably still pick up a Rising Tide next time it drops (at this point all this type of weapon gets sharded anyway).

From how I interpret the math behind HotR, Brutalizer probably is too fast. (More because it has lower top end and average damage than because of the speed, per se.)

Since http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?item=34164 seems to drop like candy for us, I'm going to try and pick one up before WotLK. High weapon damage for Hammer of the Righteous, and plenty of Expertise - should be pretty nice.

It probably won't be replaced for a while either.

Don't forget those welfare epics. Arena weapons are pretty slow as well, with a significant amount of stamina too.

im thinking we may still want to use a spell dmg weapon on larger aoe pulls ( think hyjal waves) if there are anything like that in wotlk, though the way its panning out i really think blizz is pushing us to use melee weapons. im not complaining though, chance to finally use my Heartless or swiftsteel bludgeon for more than just soloing and showing off :D

The Thing is, there is no Omen on Beta Test. But I tanked the first two instances using the Sword from Hyjal with Mongoose enchanted.

I did good damage (found a working damage meter), better then some of the DD classes.

I got like 650 Spelldamage without the weapon. But with a SD Weapon things rock.

So I'm still not convinced.
