Hammer the current target and up to 2 additional nearby targets, causing 100% of weapon damage as Holy damage. This ability causes high threat.

The Unbreakable Will
**********112 - 209 Damage**********

Hammer of Judgement
**********19 - 129 Damage**********

Merciless Gladiator's Slicer
**********203 - 305 Damage**********

All the other statistics are MEANINGLESS. Weapon damage is the one that matters.

I will get data to back up my point, but as of right now based on the paper doll and some gut feels, I believe that bursting your first large combo with a fury 1 hander, then switching to a standard "warrior" tanking weapon is the way to go.

Yeah but it's bugged. It should be getting a benefit from Strength. They'll fix it eventually.

And it favors +spell caster weapons. The spec above is likely more suitable for SoR/SoV, but if people want to use HoR, slower weapon is better. Note that HoR is cheap enough that, unless cooldown interferes, I think people would use it even with a quicker caster weapon.

I've been looking at something similar, but I think there are *two* key talents in ret you really want, judgements of the wise and sheathe of light. ... 0000000000

Key talents:
Divine str: increased block, increased AP, bonus to ShOL, SoR now scales w AP all make this must have (more so than shield spec)
Touched by the Light: scaling with combat exp and sacred duty make this nice
Sheathe of Light
Judgements of the wise: an uber tank that acts like a shadow priest, OP!
Improved judgements : must have w Judgements of the wise

I might ditch:
Shield spec: 8 points a little too much. Depends on whether stacking shield block becomes viable. If not, tossing it for 1H Spec or Ardent D (maybe even divine g or stoicism)
Improved Dev Aura: again depends on whether stacking armor + shield block is viable or whether its better to go avoidance and more threat.
Conviction: crit helps, but 5 points? Have to spend it to get to 'wise'.
Benediction: would dump it, but don't plan on using might since kings will scale better. At least with benediction and Judgements of the wise, I plan on doing tons of ae farming.
Phenome (Whisperwind). Don't armory me because I am in pvp gear and spec.
