Concur.

Between Benediction, Shield of the Templar and Guarded by the Light, our initial mana outlay will be minimized. With any luck, even our tier sets will be devoid of intellect.

Yes, Int sux, but with consecration and all related spell closing or way over 1k mana, we do need some 'some' int to have enough initial mana (stats at level 80 may prove this wrong, but we have no idea atm).

I am not saying that we should gear for massive Int, but at least we can have some talent that makes Int more useful than just increasing mana size. It can be a one pointer like the ones I pointed above, better than nothing.

even at 70, our mana pool is about 4k unbuffed. It's hard to blow even that much mana in the first 15 seconds of a fight. We don't need "some" int, and we certainly don't want to encourage it by having other talents scale based on int.

They did lower the benefit from Shadow Priest's mana/hp return (while buffing their dps), so just remove the overheal cap on mana return? >_>

Don't forget that JoW scales with both AP and Spellpower now, and JotC is no longer necessary...

Just an idea,

Blessing of Sanctuary

Reduces all damage received by 2%. In addition, when the target dodges, parries or blocks a melee attack the attacker will take 100 Holy damage. Players may only have one Blessing on them per Paladin at any one time.

The damage dealt by Blessing of Sanctuary should scale with attack power and/or spell damage.

This should make the blessing much more useful and Protection Paladins will end up becoming more wanted in raids.

Oh, and for love of god make Blessing of Kings trainable!

if it did get made into a hand spell. how about making hand of sanctuary into a spell reflect type ability, or make it an offensive hand maneuver that interrupts spell casting?

It would be nice to have a BoSanct that is usefull to all tanks: so not having it based off block since half the tanks won't be able to block. Either remove it entirely, redesign it or detach it from Holy Shield.

Well while we are having fun...

What if they removed Improved Righteous Fury, Blessing of Sanctuary, and improved holy shield and moved some of their old functions into parent talents or abilities and made a single talent for those left called Sanctuary? This could be placed in the 31 point slot and would move Holy Shield down to the old BoS location. Doing so I believe they would need to increase the Holy Shield block charges to 8 and its damage as well to account for the loss of imp holy shield and perhaps BoS as well.

Then it would open up this new talent:

Sanctuary

6% damage reduction from all sources
Redoubt increased to 30% on hit

Basically we would be blocking more with this change and saving about 5 talent points.

Ahhh one can only dream though....

I would be fine with Improved Devotion Aura as the 21-point talent. Or maybe even squishing all 5 points of Redoubt into a 21-pointer. It would help reduce the bloat.

Should make Blessing of Sanctuary into a Flametongue weapon / Windfury weapon type shield-buff for us. We cast it on our own shields, it doesn't count as a blessing and does its current purpose. Essentially a free shield spike as our 31-point talent. And since it'd be on our shields it wouldn't take an oil and stacks with enchants.

And what would be best is...make it increase chance to block by 5% instead of the damage reduction. IMO with how WotLK looks that may be better for us.

Summary:
Shield of Sanctuary - Self-buff.
Imbue the Paladin's shield with holy power. Increases chance to block by 5% and each blocked attack reflects 102 holy damage to the attacker. 30 minute duration.
