Talent spec options currently

This is kind of the way I broke them out in my head:

Also as an aside:

To get past the 28 point mark and grab Holy Shield, we will need to put at least 2 points in either

Divine Guardian
Reckoning
1HWS
Spell Warding

So one of our choices will need to be out of that group of extras

would it really be that bad if they just combined some of these redundant talents? Seeing these lists just shows how many talents there are in our prot tree right now that do almost the same thing...

With all the new talents, it's hard to justify spending 8 points to get Shield Spec. Looks like I'll be going with this 5/64/12 build http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/paladin/talents2.html?tal=05000000000000000000000000550001305203210252105312321050050002000000000000000000 for initial 5 mans/heroics. Hard to pass on PoJ when it costs only 2 points now. I may pick up AD again in harder raids, but my healers are good at topping me off today, so maybe I'll stay without it. Spending points in the new Stoicism depends on how often new bosses use a stomp attack.

It's still not hard to pass on PoJ....if anything it's even easier, because the value of a talent point (opportunity cost of not putting it elsewhere) has gone up. 7% run speed isn't a big deal.
