Vanity Pets (and all mounts) = Spells in WotLK

Collectors rejoice! The animal shelter you're running will now no longer consume vast amounts of bank space!

Players will be able to “learn” a mount or non-combat pet much like learning a spell, recipe, or new ability, and these creatures will then show up on a new Pet tab within the Character Info section of the interface. Players will be able to access and preview their learned mounts and vanity pets through this tab.

Once learned, the pet icon or mount icon will no longer appear in bag spaces or bank spaces. This inventory space will be made available once again for other adventuring needs. Pets can still be set to hotkeys by dragging them to the hotkey bar, much like any other spell or ability.

I hope I didn't throw away any one-time acquire pets, I can't really remember anymore...

Great, great. I never tossed away any pet or mount.

Finally more space in inventory.

So some caster can spell-steal my copter?.. that's gonna be interesting...

And will flying mounts be dispelled out from under us?..

Er, no, they're not "Magic" spells, the buff you get will be exactly the same as it is now.

They're just going to be in your spellbook instead of your inventory.

Wow, this means I can actually start mining again in WotLK. Maybe I'll even have a whole bag in my bank for mining mats!

Now we just need an lolnostalgia vault where we can keep full T2/AQ sets ;)

I would make myself a Superfastroflcopter just to see if my senior officer could spellsteal it, if that was the case

Now I might actually make an effort to collect some. Currently I just have Mojo, but only because I'd have to delete my Ret set if I wanted more.

We've needed an old gear locker for a long time.

Dang. You won't be able to put out a pet in hopes it will be dispelled instead of another spell.

Anyone heard from Animal Welfare about this? This could be construed as cruel and unusual punishment, being crammed into musty old pages of a dangerous-at-times book.

The reason I've never collected pets or mounts is because I never wanted to spend more than one space on them. This could be dangerous for me.

However, I've thrown out many past pets and mounts.
