Heh, I can understand that sentiment. Really I'd just like to be able to have a premade level 80 Pally with a bunch of gear so I could just do a lot of mechanics testing without exploring the plot at all. As is, I'd be tempted just to grind my way to 80 without doing any quests, though I'd imagine that would take a while.

Ok I didn't get the key but if I did I prob wont play on it, I want to be amazed and figure out how to do the quests and not be a chinese farmer and mindlessly grind to 80 untill I lvl up my 2nd 70.

My experience with the TBC beta was that there was still plenty of new stuff from beta to release. Heck there were entire zones that weren't ready during beta, and many things that were just changed.

I wouldn't be worried about ruining the experience too much.

i dont know if i will be testing the beta either... lvl 2-3 toons from 70-80 and then having to do it all over again when it goes gold might be to much for me.

edited to change 6o-70 to 70-80

I mostly lurk here but through some contacts in the industry I have been in the original beta, tbc and just got my wotlk key and i can say that even playing it before it goes live its still very exciting when it does go gold since there is invariably things you didnt see. On the other hand you can skip the stuff you didnt enjoy in beta.

Plus finding and reporting bugs can be a game in and of itself.

That's not a issue if you got already multiple chars at lvl 70.

I even got 2 prot paladins!

fwiw, the rest of the email from Curse said that it might take a while because they have to send Blizzard a list of names and email addresses. SO I may not have anything for a while. BUT STILL!
