Eredar Twins - Conflagration bug?

Postby gummyrabbit » Mon Oct 27, 2008 6:08 am

Last night was our 1st try on the Twins. We had our ranged stand next to one of the pillars. When conflagration hit one of them, they would run out to the door. On two occasions, almost the entire raid died even though the conflagration target was out of the raid. We confirmed this as the dead body of the conflagration person was at the entrance of the door. Is this a bug?

Conflagged person has to respond faster. Conflag seems to hit where the person was when the spell went off, not where they were when it landed. There's enough flight time that it can seem like they made it away when they really didn't.

- conflag starts casting
- player starts running
- conflag finishes casting <-- where the person is now is where it will land
- conflag flies, player still running
- conflag lands at the point noted above

So it's safe to run out of the room?

Yes, assuming you run out of the entrance and not the exit.

Yes, that's what we had people did. Run towards the entrance. In two cases all the ranged at the pillar died and the person with the conflagration was dead at the entrance to the Twins. We were wondering if running out the entrance caused the raid wipe.

P.S. What does running out the exit do?

No, it is not safe. Running out of the room causes them to enrage and spam Fire Blast for like 60k damage. Are you sure Conflag is what killed the raid?

Running out the back door where you've already cleared: ok

Running out the front door where there is a pair of mages and a puppy waiting for you: bad idea unless you hate your raid
