So bad it hurts

Postby Ethos » Sat Jun 14, 2008 8:50 pm

This is a post for all those moments that have brought a tear to your eye.

My most recent one, leading a pug kara, invited a mage that was wearing full s1, and this http://www.wowhead.com/?item=24257. Socketed with melee crit, and penetration.

Mmhmm, it hurts alright.

My sides hurt like they haven't in a long time from laughing so hard.

I logged on my son's rogue alt the other day to pick some locks and discovered he had socketed his new Nightbane chest with spellhit gems.

Granted, his main's a mage and he probably got the chest in a late night kara run, but still ...

Come to think of it, he and I both have ToCs. World first 2xToC family?!

Probably on the top of my list is the Hunter who didn't own, bring, or know how to equip arrows. In a level 60 Ramps group. She was "together" with our healer, and we'd just spent (far too long) looking for heals, so we couldn't kick her. Sooo, we just watched her melee, roll need on inappropriate greens, and more of less 4-manned it.

Watching a trialist mage we had socket the 100 badge pants with a melee hit epic gem, then 2 days later be tossed an invite by the 3rd furthest progressed guild on alliance side (we are 4th...).

Very comforting to know that euro-wow gets morons as well.

Just as a note- I started this thread so I'd feel better, because at the moment i feel like I'm a giant stuffed bear and all the speds just run towards me for a hug(group)

I found out last night that Illhoof has an enrage timer.
...I was seriously unaware of this before last night.

I'm in the joyous fun process of recruiting a few folks to fill in some gaps for our 25-man runs and so I was spamming my recruitment macro yesterday and this enhancement shaman sends me a tell.

I do a quick armory and notice all kinds of terribadness going on with his gear and mentioned to him we're reallly only looking for folks that are done with kara gear and have a good amount of badge/ZA stuff.

he comes back to me with claiming a ridiculous amount of AP and Crit. I link him back his armory link and tell him it was no where close. I could just hear the "oh crap they actually checked" going through his head when he stopped talking t me afterwords.
