Probably a bit. I'm not sure, actually. I don't miss the game, though. Maybe a "path not traveled" kind of thing.

Non-WoW, because duh.

Spending a little under 8 hours designing and developing a secret organization to interact with my PCs, including a basic structure diagram (seriously, I tried and think of everything from spycraft to toilet paper...) and a 1400-years spanning history, with NPCs with carrer plans. (EDIT: And I forgot to mention a geographical location on Google Earth that is a) mountainous, b) convienently hidden under clouds, but those are only a smokescreen for the real HQ 5 miles East)

Only thing is, as it's a SECRET organization with a fairly well-built front, the PC's won't hear jack shit about any of that work unless they *really* think about it. Likelyhood:

Image

EDIT: Salt on the freaking wound - Since I've foolishly decided the front would be as japanese buddhist monks and nuns, OF COURSE I now have to study a belief system I know jack and shit about in order to have those NPCs behave as realistic monks and nuns. Silver lining: travelling monks still carry a kickass straw hat that goes perfect with their "incognito" approach.

Screwed over by guild politics again. There's no tank spot in Warlords in my current guild despite them telling me I'm one of the most valuable players in the guild. The officer tank just "likes" tanking together with the other guy over me slightly. He can't even explain why.

They want me to stay and I'm allowed to reroll any dps class and get a guaranteed progress spot, but I just want to tank. I don't think I could stand not tanking most of the time.

Now I'm considering quitting despite wanting to play, just because I can't find anywhere to play. What the fuck should I do? :(

Pressure - tank or bust.

The fuck you're going to do something you don't like to save their cute little feelings.
Time for them to know how far they're willing to push.

If I had options (aka some other guild to go to) I wouldn't stay, but I don't. I just feel screwed over.

I even turned down a guild a few weeks ago because I thought I had a solid spot here, and now they found someone else.

There's still time between now and Draenor, something may pop up.

But do not allow empty or false promises to pressure you into staying, if you want to go (alternatively, if you do want to stay, don't let those same promises pressure you into going).

Look for another guild if you are serious about continuing to raid. Unless you REALLY REALLY REALLY love the other people in the guild and can't live without playing with them. If you really enjoy the people, and there's an actual dps class you enjoy playing, it might be worth staying. But if you a) hate dps with passion and b) don't care much about changing atmosphere, they opened the door, go away shutting it behind you.

There's several months for WoD, a proper guild LF tank will eventually pop, don't forget to update yourself in "lf guild" on wowprogress and write your btag there, you will get contacted eventually. Hell I was and I was much MUCH behind you :P

Plenty of 14/14 hc guilds recruiting prot palas.

Frustration 1: Came back to WoW after a 4 month break; thought I would use TI coins to valor cap the day before reset and did so before realizing it was actually reset day, so my main had nothing to do for the next 6 days.

So I decided to level up a frost mage instead, which was surprisingly fun except for:

Frustration 2: LFD Blackrock Spires. It's official: no leveling tank can tank this dungeon. They seem to delight in training mobs around, until they reach a boss and wonder why they die to a flurry of blows. Given the hassle of navigating the warren, the group soon breaks up after such a wipe or three. After you've experienced a couple of such runs, the grim inevitability becomes quite humorous - especially the last time when the tank trailed scores of mobs to the boss that likes to turn tanks and healers into frogs.

Being asked to help level some classes/races to 85 to complete the Stay Classy achievement for the last guild bank tab, and then finding out that a bunch of your heirlooms have seemingly vanished from bags and banks, and into nowhere. Goodbye plate, goodbye agility leather, goodbye intellect leather.

You can usually ask GMs to help finding out where they went. A friend of mine found them on a lost alt on a previous server for example.

I did. The only ones they can see are the ones currently in use - cloth and agility mail. GM is speculating it was probably in mail instead, and got lost in a purge. As I don't believe that's the case, but can't discount it, I have to accept it.

Ah well, it just means less work for me :)

I've lost quite a few BoA items that way, they sit in the mail for a month and then get automatically deleted :(

I agree with the :( on it.

I'm actually looking forward to the heirloom tab, so I don't have to lose anymore!

the guild on my main is pretty much non-existant. my alt's guild is nice and all but i cannot find a regular run, just flexes, which we do on saturdays as we get drunk -- after a while, that becomes boring.
