Considering the cooldown on Keg Smash, I'd be amazed to see which group of add actually lives for that long.

OK, I'm sober and less pissed off now.

It's both a vengeance and snap threat issue.

First, the single target issue. I am unable to pull Garrosh off without a lucky string of DP and GC procs. I blame this entirely on my co-tank keeping Garrosh as primary target, thereby putting out 200k vengeance-boosted Death Strikes and melee strikes. I guess I just have to be absolutely clear to her that pulling threat off her while she does that isn't just hard, it's a grossly unreasonable expectation.

This is absolutely a vengeance issue. She just has to not dps the boss for a few seconds after I taunt.

Now, about the adds. Without vengeance, I can aggro one side of adds with a taunt-boosted AS, but the second side I have to sprint to, and get HotR, Prism, Holy Wrath and hope for a GC proc. Maybe I haven't lost the first set by then, maybe they're on the DPS, maybe they're on the other tank. Who knows? I loose whatever adds I manage to aggro anyway just as soon as they sit in DnD 2 seconds and get a BB on them. I've been acting as an add wrangler, usually, just gathering them up and letting her have them, giving her my HoS here and there.

This is a lack of snap threat, through and through. Vengeance helps, but even when I have some vengeance, she still needs to hold off those few seconds. On other fights and on trash, I've been able to reliably take and hold 1-3 adds off her. It takes a lot of target switching and taunting, but that I can do. 6 adds though, especially coming from opposite directions, that takes snap threat. That I don't have, vengeance or not. She just again has to hold off a few seconds and let me get them.

Until last night, we had been getting through phase 1 just fine. It's really only getting interrupts done in the last phase the has been giving us trouble, keeping us from our second kill. All other phases, our tanking is a non-issue.

Image

I think taunting used to be Neutral Equilibrium, but now is Unstable. Taunt swaps are like passing a ball, except we're more pulling the ball from the other tank, so kinda Jedi-like, but let's not overstress the metaphor. Before vengeance, we could easily pull the ball to our self. Now we have the other tank's vengeance to overcome. The new boost to threat after a taunt helps, so it's not as bad as it was in ToT, but still, I think tanks (especially DKs and Monks) need to be aware that any given tank can't just take something off them, they have to give it up. This frustrates me, of course, but I don't know how to fix it.

What frustrates me even more, though, especially since I do know how to fix it, is over-eager DPS and an aggro-hog co-tank. I swear by the old rule: "If the healer gets aggro, it's the tank's fault, if the DPS gets aggro, it's their own fault." Our DPS need to wait a second to let me get adds from both sides of the room together and threat established. Like-wise, my co-tank is DPS as far as I am concerned, with respect to whatever I'm supposed to be tanking. So, when I taunt Garrosh, but she aggros back, that's her fault. She didn't switch to adds. When I gather up adds and she aggros them, that's her fault again. She didn't let me establish threat.

Bottom line, I feel like I'm having my hand slapped in my face while my co-tank and DPS say "Stop hitting yourself. Stop hitting yourself."

Keg Smash can pull threat on single target too. Considering it's a Monk's primary chi builder, keeping it on cooldown is very high priority for them. Combine that with all the crit stacking they do, and you have a threat-hog. My Monk isn't even particularly well geared (531), and I have to be careful not to pull threat with Keg Smash, even up against 550 ilevel co-tanks.

Does Flames of Xoroth ever work (warlock spell)? Never seems to summon the right demon. First I thought maybe it was the last demon that got dismissed, not died. Then I thought maybe it was died, but not dismissed. But this spell's got a life of its own.

The bike I was hoping to buy sold before I had a chance to go check it out. It was a model that's somewhat rare in the states and set at an amazing price.

Queued for a random instance on my baby hunter, and got into a group for Skinning (sorry, Wailing) Caverns, which turned out great, since she's a skinner. Get ported to instance, and see nobody near the portal, pick up the quest and get scorned for "slacking it up", as the group had rushed and already pulled everything up to and including Lady whatshername.
I rush over, and manage to get a couple of shots in. They keep on rushing, clearly not being on any quest, nor do they care about picking up any loot (not even from bosses).
I have a hard time keeping up, since I want to do the quests (flowers, and deviate hides), so I have to stop for loot.
Somewhere halfway the dungeon, I have completed the quests, and I felt like skinning when possible. I start falling a bit behind, when I get scorned for leeching xp, as I did earlier in the instance. I try to explain that I was doing the quests and I want to skin some of the skinnables, and all hell breaks loose; "OMFG, you retarded noob. Dungeons are not for questing or professions. F*ck!ng ninja!"
*You have been removed from the group.*

I feel so stupid now, realizing after 7 years of playing this game, that there's obviously some things you are not allowed to do in an instance...

Breaking news: The general populous of this game is retarded.

In other news sky is blue and grass is green more at 11.

I found the game so much more enjoyable when I adopted the idea that everyone is stupid until proven otherwise because 90% of the time that is indeed the case.

I think that wipes reset it. For instance, if my pet somehow dies (or perhaps if I die and get battle rezzed), it'll resummon it. If we wipe and I use it during the run back, it will always summon an imp.

I used to /shrug and do a cleanup walk of the instance once the berzerker horde was done with the xpfest.
Then again, tech support does instill a tolerance to massive amounts of stupidity.

Planning our wedding, we picked a date and that was the date my grandparents got married who both passed away recently. Turns out its also the date of a birthday on the other side of the family. When we knew that (and when nothing was set in stone yet) we talked to them, asked them if it was ok. "Yeah, no problem, go ahead."

We figured that was probably to easy. So we let it sink in with them for a few weeks and then asked again, nothing was set in stone still. "Go ahead, we dont mind."

So last week we signed for the location and the one supplying the music, and there is the phone. "Yeah... We`ve been thinking... Can you still change the date?" :x Ooooh that can piss me off so bad... Good thing is, they gave us the best piece of advice we had so far: "Dont try and make it good for everyone, there are always one or two people not agreeing with what you are doing." (so far tho, I counted 6 >.<)

Hint: It's *Your* marriage, not theirs. The date should fit your likings, not your relatives' ones.

Well, when I mentioned the ordeal on TS, 3 of my realID friends decided to roll a baby alt on Draenor. By now we have a 8 character pool to draw from and rarely pug (and never more than 1), and we have a splendid time... something good came out of it after all, I guess

I agree, tho even if you hadn't signed or put money down, you gave them plenty of time (twice) to have them speak their mind.

It's your marriage and if they really care about you and your fiancée, they will gladly not care about it, as long as you can have your special day. Birthdays come and go, but getting married is something more important.

Also, if you got an extended family it's always gonne be somebody's birthday.
