I've had zero issues with it. In fact it is miles more awesome now that iTunes 11.1 has podcast syncing support. I was listening to the ESPN Around The Horn podcast on the way home. Pulled into the driveway, gathered my stuff and stopped the podcast. When I resumed it in iTunes on my computer it picked right up where I left it off in the car.

It is freezing/crashing on me and just gives a bunch of errors trying to download podcasts. No matter which podcast it is. I've tried wireless and using cellular data and no go.

If you have issues might want to try a backup and restore. I was running the 7 betas so did that after official release.

WellI guess it is a frustration..

Maintankadin being changed organisation of fora on the board index, not that its changed, but that I'm not sure if the layou has actually changed too in regards to style, rounded/hard square corners and such - even the font feels different, but Ic an't put a finger on it - thats the frustration :p

(why you go changing things I'm used to - it was always better in the old days, when we walked a mile uphill to get to scheool through 6 feet of snow, and a mile uphill to get home through 7 feet of snow!)

So you can rest easier, I tried to eliminate most stuff that was unnecessary. The top banner, several announcements, redundant forums, and moved the stuff that should be the focus of the site to the top. Except for the asylum. It's still by far the most used section of the site, so I pulled it to the top.

I didn't round any corners(more than they already were). I DID increase the size of the search box in the top right, and 2px of padding on all the forum posts.

That is all.

Okay, now I know what changed, and that I wasn't going crazy about things other than the moving around (which was thankfully obvious :))

Did you, by chance, remove the quick reply functionality, or is it just derping on my end again (it does/did so intermittently previously)

The quick reply button always seems to be the last thing on the page to load, after the ads, so when one of the ad servers isn't working it hangs before it gets to the quick reply.

I'm noticing - on my browser at least, Friefox 23 - the top area with the search box is appearing in its own little area with a scroll bar, with the big "Search" button hidden under the text box until you scroll down in it (not that I'd ever bother clicking the button, I'd just hit enter).

Well, it's just that the banner was so obiquitous that doesn't feel like maintankadin without it.

It's weird... the banner still shows up in some areas, but I assume that's a caching issue. However, the site does need SOME kind of title above the forums.

I hate Yu'lon. (The world boss fight.) Tried it today on a healer and just died again, and again, to those poison circle things. They don't give you much time to move and are repeated so often, it was just painful.

It was a bit better on my tank, but that's because I suspect Yu'lon does not put the poison under the tank's feet.

I'm considering dropping WoW. Not that I'm bored with it or anything, but I keep getting constant pressure from my wife to be more available on the evenings (and weekends), and if I do drop raiding, I don't think I'll be able to "just" Flex.

Not really. I've always wanted to push myself, no matter what I'm playing, so the problem more like me than heroics. But if I can't make the time investment, might as well D3...

I push myself really hard in real life, at my workplace... last thing I want to do is continue to do it on something that is supposed to be leisure.

Yeah I can get the concept  It's just my thing - my mind is usually a gigantic clusterfuck of random things and I'm so easily distracted, so I kind of need to challenge myself to actually focus and enjoy myself.

You'll never get "A friendly game of" out of me :-p

I finally realized what my class problem is this semester.

I'm not in college, I'm apparently in a fucking preschool.

Whiny ass students. "I signed up for 7.5 weeks, but it's tooooooo hard! It should be 15! The paper is supposed to be 8-10 pages, so aim for 2000-2500 words, but that's just wrong! 2000 words in APA format isn't close to 8 pages! Whaaa whaaa whaaaaaa!"

I just...wow. I can just imagine the whine-raging that would be had if I said, "I turned it in, in APA format, within the guidelines, and got a 90% on it before the application of the extra credit."

well, it does seem that Idiocracy, for better or worse, is accurately foretelling the future of the US.

My favoritest Idiocracy thing is how someone pointed out that IQ is the average of intelligence and how the movie was showing the population having a lower IQ as time moves forward, instead of what would happen with the IQ tests being rebalanced so 100 remains the average and most of the population staying around that area.

IQ tests do not remain fixed forever. Most of the major ones have been updated from time to time. The 1949 WISC, for example, was superseded by the WISC-R in 1974 and by the WISC-III in 1991. The revised versions are standardized on new samples and scored with respect to those samples alone, so the only way to compare the difficulty of two versions of a test is to conduct a separate study in which the same subjects take both versions. Many such studies have been carried out, and James Flynn, a political scientist at the University of Otago in New Zealand, summarized their results in 1984. In virtually every instance, the subjects achieved higher scores on the older version of a test. For example, in David Wechsler's own study of his revised adult test—the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale-Revised (WAIS-R)—a group of subjects who averaged 103.8 on the new WAIS-R had a mean of 111.3 on the older WAIS. This implies that the actual IQ-test performance of adults rose by 7.5 points between 1953 (when the old WAIS was standardized) and 1978 (when the WAIS-R was standardized), which is a rate of about 0.3 IQ points per year.

I've seen some people like Sir Ken Robinson trying to advance US schools out of the rigid system born of industrialism, but there are definitely some school systems (and politicians presiding over them) that just don't get what the needs of the new US economy are and are going to be and adjusting accordingly.

There's also the issue of people simply not learning how to have a good work ethic. One should aspire to rise up and meet their challenges, not have those challenges lowered simply because they're lazy.

Speaking of work ethic, I recall a talk given by Mike Rowe of Dirty Jobs fame where he noticed that people don't want to get their hands dirty, which has led to an odd situation where we have both a labor shortage in certain fields along with rising unemployment. One of the examples he gave was where a company in California couldn't build a nuclear power plant because there weren't enough qualified welders in the area.

Huh, found a new minor annoyance.

The armory keeps telling me my warrior is ilvl 483/484. I have no idea how this is possible, as her prot gear is all 496 timeless (arms has some 496 timeless, but more of the blue quality), her trinkets are the 470 brewfest (THOSE were fun to get), her rings are identical for both prot and arms, her prot bracers are 463 to her arms 430, and her weapon/shield are both 463, with a 463 2hander for arms.

I am confused. And a bit irritated.
