Honestly you don't need to change gear if the ilvl difference is so big. With such Ilvl difference most of the DPS comes from the STR which will be much higher in your tank set. Just swap trinkets and weapons :)

I never understood why people go into the Brawler's Arena as prot or healing, you're not gonna beat the enrage timers more often than not.

Decided to try that openraid thingy to try to get my hunter through Terrace. (Could use shoulders, and helm would be an upgrade too.)

Ended up signing up for about 10 different events. Got accepted for 2, one of which the raid leader never showed up for, and the other one of the tanks was a no-show and nobody could find a replacement.

Wasted an entire weekend waiting for responses to signups (most of them just left everybody in "not approved" without moving anyone up) instead of doing what I should have been (either running my main through ToT LFR or building a gallows for myself).

Openraid has gone down in quality alot since it started, in the beginning it was basicly heroic raiders who wanted to finish content they missed, now a days its filled with alot of people you can find in typical Trade/Lfr's : /

Haven't really noticed any decline in the quality of openraid events i've attended. You do have to be a bit careful if you've just mindlessly signing up for events. Always question the organizer if it appears he doesn't have the xp he's claiming to have.

I found out the hard way the other week where i signed and joined a TES Hc run only to find the raid leader was a very under geared warrior who didn't say a word. After about 10mins of us asking what he was doing he simply left group, thankfully we managed to organize ourselves enough to kill the 1st 3 on hc.

We're having a 20% failure rate on macbook pros when doing their OSX updates. They just never finish installing after restarting and end up with a HD lockup condition.

Recovery mode fails to repair because the HD gives lock up errors, even that is not too bad in and of itself. Format the hd, reinstall the OSX and all that, and considering we get 200Mbps download speeds, it takes nothing when it connects to the network when under repair mode it downloads the OSX from scratch.

The problem is that doing so kills all the ipad management. Which means we gotta restore to factory all the ipads that are to be managed by that macbook. Each restore takes 5 mins, each macbook manages at least 25 ipads (50 in some cases), then getting all the ipads supervised, then getting all the apps installed into the ipads, then grouping up all the apps in the ipads...

And the macbook doesnt accept any prior backups from the ipads because the osx says they were supervised by a different macbook...

I just read that Games of Thrones is likely going to be suspended in Italy because catholics didn't like it.

Good job, good job. We really got the country we deserve.

I wouldn't be upset if there was just a bad person in the group or a couple wipes or whatever, that happens.

I'm upset because I didn't even walk in the damn door to the instance after trying to get into groups all weekend. Evidently ilvl 507 isn't good enough for normal ToES or something.

horde guild's raid cancelled, so did a random on my 86 warrior tank with a friends mage
get a group with a hunter, a boomkin, and a resto ahaman

first thing i say is im a bit rusty at warriors sorry
hunter proceeds to chain pull everything, shaman is bitching about healing aggro and the druid is barelyt doing anything

shaman bails after the second boss (after claiming i was bad and should reroll, despite me explaining i havent touched that toon as far as tanking since pre-5.1), we get a resto druid

start doing trash between 2nd and 3rd bosses
first set of trash in the boss room, huntard starts kiting it back through the dungeon
boomkin dies from standing in crap, and hunter is still kiting

hunter FINALLY FDs and goes HES INC!!!
kill trash, get everyone up and boss spawns
instantly pulled and every time i try to taunt back, distracting shot, growl, basically every trick in this huntards book to keep aggro

after we wipe at 80% i decide fuck it not dealing with it anymore..

Tecnically the first part is getting easier in 5.3, no idea how easier though!

They're also buffing the drops from T14 raids, iirc. The annoying bit is going to be grinding rep - patch 5.3 will be the first one where Wrathion rep doesn't come from the current dailies area.

They also making all T14 raids drop both wisdom and power to even more simplify the gathering if I read the patch notes right.

1) It was horrifying not to have my ipad for 12 hrs.

2) http://www.smh.com.au/national/mother-c ... 2jeyo.html -- this. >=/

3) Cryptozoid's beta game, Zach Braff, and the Veronica Mars movie KS prove that KS has lost its meaning. I swear that if Nike and Jordan were to go to KS to crowdfund a new shoe, they would get it even though they're both rich beyond reason. I feel bad for the true independent projects that have no chance in hell in Kickstarter because other projects have names attached to them that steal the spotlight from them.

Wait... kickstarter had meaning beyond people convincing random strangers to give them loads of money?

Kickstarter recently came out saying that people who signed up to donate to the Veronica Mars and Zach Braff Kickstarters (as their first ever donation on the site) actually went on to contribute over $400,000 to other projects.

The whole thing just pisses me off. As an example, a local artist was trying to get his graphic novel published, he listed the projected expenses and such in the page, was only asking for 4.5K -- and didn't make it.

On the other hand, this artist, who is associated with DC, got crowdfunded for many times the amount, for his own graphic novel.

It just pisses me off that, like I said, big names are stealing the spotlight, and the stupid people that fund them in the first place.

Well, remember - just because they are associated (as in have done work for in the past) with a big company doesn't mean they can just demand cash for a project whenever they want. Some can, sure, but certainly not all. This pretty much goes for any industry.

For example, I know of a rather famous sci-fi author who did a kickstarter for a videogame, essentially unrelated to anything he'd done previously. Did his name help? Yeah, probably. But you know what probably helped more? His talent.

Well, yeah, but it is easier to ask for funds since he already has the social networking in place, from his association with DC.
