It pauses your queue so nothing pops, but doesn't affect your position. If you would've reached the front during the scenario/pet battle/heroic dungeon, you'll be in the front when you come out. It just means it can't pop during the other stuff, really. You'll often find it pops instantly as soon as your current run is over.

Oh, yeah, I found that scenario tricky even as dps. I was thinking as I did it how it must really suck for healers and tanks.

I had to go DPS, something I hadnt done in YEARS.

It's a stupid scenario. I could say it is worse for people who have double heal specs or other things like that. =/

well, admittedly I seem to recall earlier single-person scenarios on the island that were apparently a bit harsh on squishier DPS specs.

Never understood the idea behind soft enrages in solo scenarios.

Or harsh on pet classes. The flying one was a pain as a BM hunter... 45% of my dps unavailable.

I was just reading the <Lurkers> forums, and they are having trouble getting 10 to field raids :( Wish that I had the time or desire to play again.

Makes me wonder, what is it about this expac that is driving people away?

This is a personal list. Not an all encompassing list meant to be for everyone.

1.) Pokewow
2.) The "look" of the Pandaren
3.) The changes to reputation gains and gearing
4.) The new Talent "Trees"
5.) The blustering about putting the "war" back in Warcraft.
6.) The lack of a big bad.
7.) The desire to get people "out of the cities" that "forces" you to do dailies.
8.) The continuation of things that added complexity simply for complexities sake, not because it made for good gameplay.
9.) The continued hamstringing of 10m raiding guilds with loot.
10.) The further integration of LFR, and it being used as the "catch up" mechanism, for returning players, and alts.

Now, some of these are reasons why I left, and some of them are reasons I have stayed away. But this is my top 10 (in a slightly descending order) of why I left.

And let me just say, yes. Pokewow was really at the top of the list. I feel like they had plenty of other things that they could have put that design time towards. I know it doesn't "interfere" with other designing, because teams are independent, and I know that Pokewow is apparently a rather popular feature, but not only did it not interest me, the idea that they were including really did irritate me. I don't like Pokemon. I was an adult when it came out. I only know how to play the CCG because it was part of my job to teach 9 and 10 year old kids how to play when they came in the shop.

On top of that, Pandarens just didn't do it for me. it was a massive disappointment for me. There were so many other cool races that I could see being included in the game, and Pandaren are just not the thing that I wanted.

I've said it a couple of times, I don't begrudge blizzard the direction they decided to go. They made decisions to alter the style of the game to appeal to an age demographic that I'm no longer apart of. I know that. I get it. They knew they would lose people like me, they just hoped that they would gain more than what left. I don't know if it's working or not.

I find it interesting just how wide a range of opinions there are on this topic. For example, I think the (male) Pandaren are one of the best races in the game now in terms of model, aesthetic, animations.

To be fair, it is a legendary quest, and I don't know if it'd be right to make it easy.

Yeah, the reasons for quitting are as varied as the sun... but for folks I know who kept with it (and didn't drop pre-MOP), it seems like it comes down to playstyle and pacing/content availability early on causing burnout, which then tended to create a cascade effect as teams got progressively less active or folks simply found other things they liked doing more than raiding (in the cases I know)

But it's not really, is it? It's just one of <insert random number here> hoops we'll have to jump through. Should it be as easy as the solo scenarios to open the island? No, I agree... but I wonder what the required DPS looks like and how many specs can achieve that and what gear would be required (or what level of play compared to 'ideal').

At this point, it seems like the legendary presence will really be decided more by a process of attrition than strict difficulty.

Don't get me wrong, it is a well done model. They have really pushed foward the animation, and they "look" from a technical sense, amazing. But it just wasn't my thing. Maybe, it's because I was holding out hope for other races to come along. I had hoped that in the push towards the inevitable showdown with the burning legion, we would see something interesting like Satyr, or Vrykul, Or even the slightly sentient, but haphazard murlocs from WOTLK, or even updating models of races to include more differences (I might not hate playing a Taunka) or who knows what. Just not pandaren. I didn't even consider them a possibility really. And maybe that's why I have an overly negative opinion on it. It failed to deliver for me, and the desire that I had for the new expansion.

I went over to the battle.net site recently, and see that all of my characters are fading from the armory. They still show the gear, but the portraits have been greyed out and there is a dark human silhouette for all of them now. It's a little weird.

I'm still holding out hope for playable Dragonmen, or, more likely given MoP, Saurok (which were built on the existing dragonman model). I just think they're a quirky and interesting race design, different from the existing ones while still being basically humanoid, could be fun to play.

(If they did do Dragonmen, they'd need to come up with a less-dumb name for them.)

I love the pandaren models. I hate the female voices tho... They sound like margaret cho.

I hate the art in mop though... Although this is only for weapons armors. I feel like something out of gaogaigar with the tier gear on...

I dont like the raids... Complexity for the sake of it. I feel they're reaching a point where its impossible for everyone to retain everything about the fight on short term memory... I could say they have passed it already on some instances, with the game approaching twitch-gameplay levels.

Also, i might be horde, but i feel bad for alliance players. Their story sucks. No wonder ally players are pissed.
