The changes are mainly to encourage smaller groups to take him on, so that you don't get the huge zerg that crashes servers.

But from what I witnessed yesterday, you are getting piles of toons, many undergeared alts, who would never have been there before, along with the Saturday crowd of extreme casuals.

Based on the server crashings reportedly occuring, I think you may have been overestimating the level of gear/player that was showing up on some of these servers.

That moment when you pay dkps for an item, enchant/gem it, and then on a following boss you get another item for the same slot!

I just wish they would add parallel downloading like rssradio and linecast, also, RSSradio seems to be much better at managing your podcasts, but the 1.2 version is many times better than the original app they released.

Odd frustration: we're spent an entire night on Durumu. I'm not so frustrated about wiping to stupid, but actually *bored* because I haven't felt challenged since the early pulls grabbing Torto's bats.

Megaera 25 is a piece of cake, as is Ji-Kun and now Durumu... *sigh* Is anything later more challenging?

Primordius is extremely simple, kite the boss slowly in a circle.

Going to be doing bosses 9 and 10 tomorrow. That reminds me, maybe I should read up on them as I can't remember their names off the top of my head ^-^

Do you mean fights that challenge tanks? Clearly Durumu is challenging your guild currently, although once everyone clicks with the maze it becomes relatively straight forward.

Dark Animus, Iron Qon and Lei Shen all have some relatively interesting tank mechanics.

On Durumu you should be looking to maximise your dps since you have full up time on the boss, i manged to push over 100k dps which was fun.

I'm not sure what to do.

I've got a very tempting offer from a top guild who wants me to tank, but going there would pretty much break up my current guild (where I'm not at all happy with how slowly we're progressing versus time spent doing so). I want to move on, but my conscience says no.

Bah.

This is a tough one. Do you know you're going to enjoy being in the other guild? If so, then go for it. This is a hobby that you use to enjoy yourself. If you're not enjoying your time in the game you owe it to yourself to do what you can to keep it fun.

If you don't know that you'll enjoy the atmosphere in the other guild, then you can keep trying to fix things with the current guild. Either way, you won't be 100% happy with your decision, but the guild's success is NOT your responsibility. If they would fall apart without you, that's an unfair amount of stress on you and poor planning by the leadership.

I was in a similar position with my guild of 3 years. Transferring away and keeping in touch with the people I enjoyed worked out VERY well for me. I'm the happiest I have been in over 14 years of gaming.

Eh? He says he's not at all happy with one aspect, ie progress. Not that he's unhappy full stop. He might be perfectly happy with the atmosphere, his relationships with people in the guild, etc. It's hardly a black and white dilemma.
