dps and off-tank left the guild two days ago....so we are back to where we were before...no where.

the off-tank then went to another guild along with our old fury warrior and mage...and then got the normal starshatter.

wanted to stick a fork in my eye. also, don't want to be titans grip. have three chances for a 1h weapon...2 for 2h weapon...guess what? i'm titans grip because of 2 starshatters and 0 other weapons.

Found myself insanely bored in LFR this evening, and realised a big part of it is the absence of challenge I've had pretty much non-stop for a year or something. I think the biggest challenge I've had in 2012 was...

*woosh*

I got nothing :-(

Are you dpsing? I've found that really boring - I've literally been nodding off at points. Coupled with 1 hour queues, it's a horribly dull experience.

I've only tanked a bit, but that was much more fun. Sadly, I only have a need for ret gear (for OS). I only need a couple of pieces now, so may just switch to tank full time and forget about them. There's signs of a tank shortage emerging, so queues might get better for that role.

Healing I appreciate for its novelty (for me; only doing it on my 4th alt) and especially the instant queues.

Mostly DPSing for the boots of Wind-Lord, but even tanking has become dull in LFR. Like I said, it's mostly a challenge issue. Whenever I go down in a fight, it's usually a problem of attention (which means I need a quick breath) or there's a whole chain reaction leading up to it over which I had little control (like 50+ stacks on Lei Shi).

I had a similar thing in ICC back when, but the simpler rotation allowed me to weave all the Hands spells whenever I wanted. I guess I need to know the fights even BETTER, and try those tricks once again?

Paypal is completely phasing out HTTP1.0 protocol.
Guess what my shopping cart software uses? So. I update it, based on what they are saying, and I can't seem to make the code "work". I'm hoping the tidbit I was able to glean from a conversation with another user helped me.

Waited almost an hour and a half in queue for Terrace on my hunter today. Ghostcrawler says that T14 LFR will still be relevant going forward due to no new catch up dungeons.

Can't wait till I get to my dps alts in 5.2 and it's a 5 1/2 hour wait to run a half of Heart of Fear for what usually amounts to the amount of gold I could have made doing 10 dailies.

Edited for rampant spelling errors that would give my ninth grade English teacher a seizure.

While I understand and generally support this idea of catching up, I'm really curious how it will turn out another raid patch down the road. Wouldn't be the first time they misjudge players' desire to (re)run certain content to play alts, or with friends and other latecomers.

I'm predicting feeder guilds becoming a thing again (especially based on the selfishness I've seen in regards to "guild loyalty" this expansion) - if that happens and we start feeding, I'm stopping though, don't want to move to another guild, and don't want to spend my time feeding other guilds either.

Yeah, considering the new loot system, I think a lot more alts are gonna die off. I know I'm killing mine in regards to any further progression.

i have two 90's...warrior and pally. two 85's...shaman and dk. spend the time i do have doing dailies and whatnot that i haven't touched my shaman in a month and dk in 2 months.

sort of sad...enjoyed both. would love to level my hunter because i want that gun from BWL that dropped on my warrior and the bow from Halls of Reflection...i don't think i'll be seeing either at any point.

I have 4 90s, was gonna work on a 5th, but from this point forward, only 2 will see LFR or dailies, and if my raid spot goes away, it will be only 1. Not enough time in the week to get valor capped on more than one toon, and for what? Gear that will be replaced in 2 months.. Blizz doesn't realize what they've done with the grindfest. I see a lot more burnout coming.

not as much burnout...as "what's the point?"

i really did enjoy my dk and shaman...and would love to have other professions to level up so i could either spend less gold or have other money-making professions...but at this point, unless blacksmithing can make old bc weapons or naxx weapons and sell them for gold..i'm stuck selling that ghost 2h axe for like 5k gold whenever i get the 5 harmony things.

thank god i really enjoy my warrior and pally.

It took the commendations in 5.1 to even get me to take a somewhat serious look at my alts. I cannot imagine getting to the back end of 5.2 on some of the later alts and have it end up being almost impossible to do anything meaningful with them.

There seem to just be so many blatant mistakes in this expansion when it comes to people with multiple toons for the sake of "well we don't want people crying they're bored".

Just lost a tank? Whoops guess you better hope one of your OCD members was "dedicated" enough to do 4 hours of dailies on 3 toons to keep them geared for just such an emergency! Can't just have them catch up because little jimmy would complain he's bored and threaten to quit otherwise!

This has always been a huge sticking point with me. Blizzard can never just change something without going to the extreme. In Cataclysm it was apparently bad that I had 11 toons I could run DS LFR on because that supposedly somehow lead me to complain about being bored. So their solution to that is to now bore me to death because I refuse to spend hours upon hours doing the same monotonous shit just so I can do something other than AFK in town all day.

How does this fix the problem exactly? Instead of complaining about finishing content too fast and being bored now I'm bored because I refuse to do the same thing for the 100th time. Gearing alts is a royal pain in the ass and what's the point of leveling toons if they're going to ding 90 and rot because I refuse to save that horrible rogue Lao Swiftfoot for the 90th time?

I mean luckily I've really taken a liking to my hunter so I'm occupied more with her rather than my shaman who does nothing but cap valor for the next step of the legendary and will collect dust until 5.2 but still it just feels like a chore and it's going to get worse.

Edit: Holy shit that was NOT supposed to be that long of a rant.

I think the worst part is that GC remains oblivious at what seem rather obvious problems.

A guy was complaining that he doesnt do dailies so he's trying to gear thru LFR, but thru 16 coins or so, he has gotten zilch gear, in addition to not getting loot from the boss in the initial roll.

GC's reply was that at least he is getting VP that he can use to buy gear, nevermind that you cannot buy gear no matter how much VP you have, if the gear is locked behind reputation.

I remember remarking how this idea was shit in beta (here on the forums), and some people dismissed me at how it was not gonna be a problem -- guess what, it -is- a problem

I am over the hump, i am exalted, or at least revered, with all the VP vendors in my two toons -- but fuck if I have to level a 3rd character and have it ready for a raid on a short notice.

i liked the wrath model of tabards for dungeons...or was that cata?

honestly can't remember if i hated the BC model...probably did but that was a while ago....that being said...many of the items weren't that necessary to raid...they could be nice...but weren't incredibly necessary.

i honestly don't know what the solution is...but i do know that the one they came up with for MOP blows.

also, my girlfriend bought me like three pairs of shoes for christmas. i'm very picky about my shoes because i have wide feet. i had these skechers that i wore into the ground because they fit perfectly. they aren't made anymore. so i've been on a 2 year search to find the perfect fitting shoe...found them....and now i have put holes in the side of them because i have busted the stitching on the outsides. motherfuckers.

Despite potentially sounding like a broken record I still do not see why valor gear had to be tied to reputations aside from forcefully funneling people into dailies.

The hilarious part is back in Wrath and moreso in Cata people were clamoring to either up the daily cap or eliminate it entirely when dailies rewarded nothing but vanity items/titles and everyone loved them. What happened to that? Where did it go so wrong that it has caused such a backlash from the playerbase all of the sudden? Oh right because you have to get the valor and then you have to grind the rep to even use the valor. So instead of just putting a weekly rep cap with tabards or something halfway competent like that it's NOPE GO DO DAILIES LOL!

GC keeps spouting that line of bullshit "we don't want it so you can max reps in a weekend" Well no shit.. but guess who's in control of that.

Yeah, I also proposed allowing rep tabards, but putting a cap on how much you can earn in a week.

I've said it before, no one would complain about the dailies if the VP gear was not tied to reputation.

How they're willfully oblivious to this baffles me -- or rather, disappoints me.

Pretty much like when we talked about Blizz's hiring philosophy, on how they hire people based on whether they believe in blizz' own philosophy/vision of the game -- and how it can lead to echo chamber issues when it comes to managing/developing.

New toon hits 90 in 5.2. Can get: Crafted gear at 476 and 496 and new crafted gear at new raid level (though likely to be harder to get and expensive). BoE raid drops (e.g. bracers from HoF; no longer needed so much by raiders, they'll show up on AH more). New Valor gear higher ilevel than launch gear given by newest rep faction (and judging by 5.1 factions, not so long a grind to reach Revered). Sha of Anger, Galleon (with his new increased spawn rate), and two new, most likely faceroll, world bosses - one of which will probably drop T15 gear. They also have access to many LFR instances.

With most people no longer grinding the many rep factions that came in 5.0 on their mains, and capping valor more quickly through instances, more alts will start to show up, and the early LFRs will still see enough action. (I have loads of free time in game now that I don't need to do dailies at all.)

So people are still bitching that they feel they have to get valor gear?

The feeling that only half the raid group gives a sh*t about doing stuff, while busting my @$$ off to get a deathknight geared through rep, dailies, vp etc so we can actually raid, despite wanting to be on my hunter - watching the dps drop whenever I have to tank because I'm inevitably replaced by the lowest dps'er in the group, and seemingly not progressing, rather regressing.

At this point, I am no longer predictingw e will end up as a feeder guild, unless people shape up and pull themselves together, we won't have enough people to form raids in a month (which will mean we have no tanks if I'm not mistaken - and can only be understanding of that).

At t his point all I do in the game is VP cap on 2 characters, just to be the best I can be for the raidgroup, and it sucks tbh.

Yeah, sure I screwed up roday (forgot to turn on blood presence after spirit kings) which casued a few deaths (of me) on trash and a wipe on elegon.
After that we just didn't have the dps - after easily clearing the dps checks last time (where I was dpsing on the hunter).

*sigh*

And now the other tank has left the raidgroup "to go casual" - meaning that my low attendance is a real problem (the attendance that had me switching from tank to dps to begin with this expansion) our sunday raid I can come to, then the next week I can't - meaning we have to figure something out in 4 days or cancel a full week of raids - it really sucks (especially because I want to work for the group, since we do have raiders that care and want to raid - and as a RL I feel responsible for doing everything I can to get these raids up and going...)

argh!

(If anyone knows 1 tank and 1 or maybe 2 good dps that would come co-tank with Sagara, respectively co-dps with me and some other great people, now is the time to let either of us know)

i would be fine with that

even if you made the tabards purchasable at like honored (not revered, cause what would be the point then) you would still get ppl to SEE the content, but they wouldnt be facing a 3-4 hr grind each day

if the rep was tied to just tmog gear, or vanity items like pets/mounts/banners that would be awesome!
i would be doing dailies constantly cause it would be something i WANT to do, and WANT to get...not something i felt i had to do in order to not hold back my raid group
as is, because i am so burnt out doing dailies as it is, i feel my horde guild is carrying me just a little
as in, i have maybe 461 ilvl, counting my dps gear..well did before i got the polearm
