Yes.

Noticed a nice little nod to the cinematic at the end of the Warcraft III orc campaign in the Warlords of Draenor one. Not going to mention it just yet though, don't want to spoil it for those yet to see it.

Just saw it, not my favorite, or my second favorite, but definitly a strong one, and like you mentionned, a healthy dose of nostalgia vibe.
Speaking of which, and treading lightly with my choice of terms - did you notice how the Iron-fire thingie takes the support position that was once held by a shaman?
Interesting contrast right there, and as I'm not very up to date with the WoD story, I'm wondering if that's a willing choice to express how fel magic and shamanism is being replaces by technology, iron and fire in this Iron Horde.

The ending of the cinematic was such a loregasm.

Anyway, for those who would like to know, or didn't notice, what the nostalgia vibe was:

Here's the cinematic that played at the end of the Warcraft III orc campaign. In both this and the WoD cinematic, pay close attention to the fiery demise of a certain pit lord...

Same - WotLK remains the golden standart for me. I'll probably rustle some feathers, but MoP is still second.

Did they really reveal who the final boss is gonna be in WoD? That kinda kills the excitement. Also, another orc final boss... yay...

On my part, it's coumpounded by "WHO is having a heavy influence on the raid? THEM? AGAIN?" Someone's being his usual dumb self...

Just a small reminder :
TIP : Remember to take all things in moderation (even world of Warcraft!)

From : http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/blog/151076 ... 06-08-2014

Molten Core Gets Boosted
… For the anniversary celebration, max-level players will be able to participate in a special 40-player Raid Finder version to relive the experience of hunting down Ragnaros and his minions within his fiery lair. …

From Ingame Calendar
Wow’s 10 anniversary event starts on November 17th at 10:00AM
Wow’s 10 anniversary event ends on December 2nd at 10:00AM

From GamesCon Announcement
Warlords of Draenor will release on 11.13.14 (November 13th)

Guess I’ll moderately have to level up at least one character from 90 to 100 in less than 4 days (5 days counting tuesday November 18th) to be able to enjoy at least the first lockout of the MC Raid Finder. Offcourse I could take my time (since the event lasts until December 2nd), but that would be taking a risk since it requires making use of Retard Finder to get it… oh bless…

WTF where you thinking Blizzard?????

That's a relief. However I am surely not the only one noticing this (as the twitter post proves), and it wouldn't have been much trouble imho to remove it from the ingame calendar to avoid any confusion.

Furthermore, I do have to call utter and complete b***shit on behalf of the Dev that made that reply, seeing as the previous Anniversary events only lasted for 1 (one!) day (although the associated tabard lasted for 7 days), while this one is appearently intended to last at least 2 weeks, and it has been in the ingame calendar for ages (i think I noticed it around easter).

I'll stop throwing bricks now (glass houses and all), but I still think their communication could do with some upgrading... perhaps that would make for a very nice 10 year anniversary gift from Blizzard :P

The last 2 (at least) anniversaries lasted for at least a week, I know cause I didn't grab some characters till the last day, and the tabard lasted only for the anniversary (it ran out faster on the later characters to grab it).

They've always had an extended period for the anniversary, as far as I can recall. Always had plenty of time to log in and get the achievement and rewards; at least a week, I think more.

You know what? I give up on even trying to get to the beta. I've had people try to use their contacts to get me in because they know I can do the grunt work of whacking the same target again and again... and blizz just decides to give a bunch of keys to twitch streamers... I just give up.

The whole thing about fighting another orc as the final boss, even if the situation is different, just makes my eyes roll... the fact they have to explicitly say it's not gonna be SoO again makes me think it will actually be, sorta...

my interest in continuing playing probably at around 5%...

I've given up on the beta (but I've resubbed end of last week) - if I get a betakey tomorrow I'd go in and have a look around and how a level 90 feels with the squish, and thats probably about it - not enough time to devote to actually experiencing anything just to do it again when the exp hits.

Beta-smeta.
