So there's no need aside from those instances where it's needed? Got it.

Yes, I'm complaining. Further homogenization of every class only further removes the feel that you are a not a unique, special snowflake but rather just another player in an amorphous crowd.

I'm only half-assed complaining because it's what Blizzard and WoW has become, and there's no real point of bitching. The game is what it is, I still play it, and I don't really see either of those facts changing any time soon.

I have, however, become far, far less interested in Blizz's big new top-secret MMO after experiencing the philosophy changes and business models they've grown into.

If anything, Titan is being handled by Kaplan.

Tbh, I actually prefer WoW under GC... 'cept for MoP.

This is where I'm at with a raiding prot spec and a holy pvp spec - for once I'd like to be able to actually kill stuff with ease. Although bag space is definitely a concern.

Not sure if that was for me or not. I have to play as Arms*, roll as Fury and trash tank in Prot**. Having 3 specs allows me the Prot spec, saving time for me and the other delightful 24 people in LFR when a tank bails. Maybe tanks will be bailing after bosses and before trash a lot less in the coming weeks but right now I'm wasting a lot of time.

*Could play as Fury and reduce my DPS.
** Could sit around for 10-15 minutes every time a tank leaves.

Edit - Unless you can roll for a spec you do not have? I was working under the assumption that you have to have it specced, perhaps not.

you could also wait til you get a second 2hd and go TG fury and that way you can still roll for 1hd weapons

Yeah, could play as TG Fury (have another 2H weapon) and take a 8% reduction in DPS (from sims) as it is only LFR. But I want to pull my weight and do the best I can.

Let me elaborate: A tank has no use at all what so ever of PvP power, nada zip null. So he gets his shiny PvE gear with superduper tank stats on it, an insane amount of sockets. He then sockets and enchants all out resilience on everything becoming virtually immune to melee damage (hi dodge, parry and block!) and still extremely viable against casters.

Basically no high rated RBG team will take a PvP geared tank, because they will benefit so much more from PvE geared tanks with the appropriate gems and enchants.

That is something that we are also aware of, we don't want fully PvE geared tanks being the best choice for flag carriers either. Solutions to this are already being looked into.

Unless they finally make tank-pvp-gear,if so...

...still

I actually got the plate dps belt in a bag, from ToES last week on my warrior when tanking. Really low chance I'm assuming, but still possible!

I kinda feel the same about the current 'heroic' dungeons (level 90? Heroic.) and still refering to 'talents', even though we get to chose them at will :P

I got the AGILITY trinket on my Balance/Resto druid in the failbag, nice 14g vendor item, but if is going to be a trispec later I could have used it, or if an i476 item is worth anything on 5.3 at all.

Boy I can barely have some bag slots, I can't imagine carrying gear for 3 specs then..

I'd imagine 502s with the same styles as the 476s in the current scenarios.
We live in a society where people born on third base constantly try to steal second, yet we expect people born with two strikes against them to hit a homerun on the first pitch.

The LFR gear from the failbags is any item that can be worn by your class, not something for your spec.

This is about the heroic scenario system in 5.3, not the loot bags.

Current scenarios drop 476s with randomized stats. I'd think the heroic scenario ones would be 502s with randomized stats instead of direct LFR items.

TriSpec plus designating what spec you want loot for means I can gear up my tank with tasty and short LFR healer queues.

Oh those poor poor tanks that will be in my groups......

PS. Bag....space.....

Good thing that Ret and Prot use the same gear now, eh?

They contribute to your dps by allowing you to pay less attention to your environment and more attention to the abilities you are using.
