so, cartoon villanry from a random orc commander in the new goblin scenario aside, the barrens stuff wasn't too bad when I went in early this morning (didn't want to try last night).

Yay easily AOE grindable collection quest. Also, the select-yer-lootspec feature is awesome. I also noticed I was getting lesser charms and some other random goodies from killing baddies in that area.

I loved the collection on my druid because I could fly around and ninja the lootable versions of all the items. Probably not viable when it's busy, but pretty easy when it was somewhat quiet.

The charms will come from any 90+ creature. They were a nice bonus.

Also, if you're doing the caravan escorts, get the tag on the orcs that attack (not the wolves they ride) for free lumber.

oh man, the escort I tried with no one else around... and gave up. Since the mobs were pretty much perma-glued to the kodo, it was a chasing game that seemed likely to be precisely zero fun as melee.

Ugh, yeah. I think they were getting desync'd from the server somehow. I had a bunch of times where I couldn't hit him when I was behind him, inside his model, etc. Add in the issues with the feral hitbox...

I would mostly hit them with a faerie fire to ninja the tag and let everyone else kill it.

If you can slow the wolf, that helps a lot. May have to kill it first to have a chance of killing the guy.

a) play their own game
b) have someone, anyone, who understands what the PTR is for (players and devs both)
Most people want the wealth produced by a society with limited government distributed to them more generously by bigger government.

GC:Healing Rain, Conductivity and Vampiric Embrace have / had broken AE caps and meteoring. Should be hotfixed soon, if it isn't already.

Soooooo...

The Barrens stuff was entertaining today, but is that all there is to it? Gather resources for the weekly and vanity items?

Not to mention that with the latent pieces being random enchantment the weekly quest is a total crapshoot for anything but boosting ilvl. Couldn't they at least have been of the useful variety (ie primary/stam/2x secondary).

I have a feeling (because of 2 more scenarios being added that weren't used in the intro questline and appear to be related) that there will be some sort of progression until the actual invasion. How fast that will be, though, and if folks will stop giving a crap about the weekly quickly, I have no idea.

strange aggro stuff toonight

on Jinrock, 1 dps has been kicked by the boss..
later an another dps got aggro by boss
while Omen was all fine from tank point of view

on Horridon : aggro on add was quite a paint (pal+DK).. we wiped (several dps died on door 3&4)!!!
second try, we had to ask for the firsttime our hunt&rogue to misdirect.... still 1dps died on door 3, and 1 heal down on door4! quite shocking for this old boss we even use to kill with our alt raid

on concil... trolls were unmanageable.... taunt one, come, hit him, and then he goes back to other tank. we saw this phenomen several time with Nalak (and marli also) :evil: at least no wipe

then i was very anxious why Tortos (we 1 pal tank it), but all was fine, no need hunt help

Megeara... oo well...

overall, th 30-25% nerf on our ShoR is visible on big boss attacks (horridon triple punction, tortos bite), even with fresh upgraded stuff, i felt a yo-yo quite like my first time on those boss... my healeurs were no more familiar with it

I've not seen nor tried this, but (from joystiq.com):

"Errr, do they know that summoning a Treant causes all aggro to be ripped from the tanks and be transfered onto the treant's target? I caused quite a few deaths in LFR today before I figured out what was wrong."

Also, from bliz hotfix page:

"Force of Nature: Restoration Treant should no longer cause their target to taunt enemies."

(Again, WTF is with the test realm. Isn't it meant to actually, like, test things?)
