They sounds really legit honestly. Usually, blizz's 4/1 stuff is very obvious. This looks way too reasonable, and they did say we'd have 5.3 PTR sooner than we'd expect.

Nah, I think it will be about more PVP-power == win. So that will be where PVP gear shines. They also say 'most', not 'all'.

I also think the gear scaling as pointed out has to do with limiting the 'wah, PVE gear is better' stuff, as well as possibly being a bit of trolling on blizz's part for those people who totally say PVP is all about skill while queuing up using workarounds to get premades in order to steamroll lesser organized teams.

Well that way they can keep PvP gear low ilvl (so people can't use it to skip ilvl requirements) and at same time prevent people from using PvE gear of 30 more ilvls to steamroll people.

The tournament realms have had normalized gear (everybody has full gladiator gear) since the beginning, this is a change I thought they would implement sooner.

Yeah, I didn't say they're abandoning PvP gear, but PvP gear progression. You'll need a set of PvP gear, but once you have that set, you probably won't need to change it for the entire expac. Rewards would have to come in different ways if you can't get gear to increase character power.

I doubt that, I imagine they'll raise the gear normalisation cap with each new season to incentivise people to get the newest stuff.

I'll bet heroic scenarios will require CC's, Stuns, kites, etc, instead of steamrolling them and perhaps gear normalized like challenge modes.

Bonus rolls fails? I'm the master at that! (so far 3 toons 9 rolls each 0 wins, so that 0/27)

Tweet about the difficulty was above heroics, lower than challenge modes.
