Neither do I actually*

*But I do have full dps/tank plate heirloom sets, weapons, both mail sets and both leather sets -- no clothies, I hate clothies.

I was just going for a hyperbole =P

Keybind The AoE fear with the glyph, and have psyfiend up, and just SW:P things and use your free MB's and your other instant things if fighting things like the goats. if things don't move you, feel free to add in some VT and MF (and ofc, when aoeing, use shield andDP on the highest health target, so you get all the ticks if possible).
When health drops below 30% for the second time (with the automatic shield talent at least), pop Vampiric Embrace and see your health go back to 100% - all the SW_P are single targte shadow damage :D

Hmm..

For that glyph, might go ahead and ditch my never used disc spec and setup a second shadow spec for farming. Reminds me need to put Dominate Mind back in my raid spec.

Umm.. Vampiric Embrace.. perhaps I should be posting in the Memo thread...

I don't...

Then again, I don't foresee myself overcapping VP any time soon either.

I think the only way to be getting gobs of JP is to run a lot of heroics or normal 5-mans. If you're doing dailies, raiding and scenarios you only get VP. I'm assuming soloing lvl 85 5-man heroics wouldn't net you JP ?

And I thought you lost carryover JP from cata beyond the 4K cap?

Besides, I buy all my heirlooms with AT tokens :P

Arg. Do I keep saving VP for a helm, or start upgrading my gear? Do I upgrade gear early, or wait until I have better gear to upgrade? Too many options!

My impression is that the upgrading gear option is more for the heroic raiders who have got some nice drops and for whom VP gear starts to look weak. It does not seem very cost effective for people who are still gearing up for raiding - i.e. for whom VP gear is the best they have. The new rep grinds have higher ilevel rings and boots, so I'll try to save up my VPs for them first.

Indeed, upgrade your best item first.

(Upgraded items are really gonna screw with the reforging tools...   )

forgive my lack of knowledge... but is there a raid tier releasing with this patch, or will it come along later? Any new 5-mans or scenarios? I haven't been able to find much in the way of summaries beyond a few tidbits about upgrades and rep changes.

Maybe it's me being slow, but it seems like HoF and TES just dropped (but then again, people have already cleared it) :P

There's no new raid, a couple new faction specific scenarios, and that's it.

The new offensive factions, Brawler's guild, gear upgrading, no groups needed to go into old raids, pets from old raid bosses, nerfs/buffs, about 150 new hunter rare pets (but not high level ones, all old world stuff, and no spirit beasts), and... I think that's it.

Hmm. Just read through patch notes again... So, old instance soloing no longer requires a group, cool beans.

"Enemies in these raids that previously required more than one player to defeat are now more easily dealt with by players battling alone."

So does that mean Kalegos (Sunwell) is soloable? Along with BWL (without trying to bug), and other bosses that "pin" you to death? Oh sweet mother of meat. Good times ahead if so. Had finally gotten down Kael soloing on the lock and pally. But this opens up lots of content that I won't have to bug friends about. :P

That is indeed a good nod for those soloers. I'm curious how far they will take it though. Obviously Razorgore and Kalecgos will be on the list. But what about

Chess? I can solo it, a lot of people can solo it, but some people get really hung up on it.
Twin Emps? Has been soloable since Cata, but it took a LOT of work.
Najentus? I would assume he's on the list?
ROS? Soloable, but I'm not sure how easily for all classes.
Gluth? That one is tricky. Soloable, for some, not for others.
4 Horseman? Again, doable, but hard.
Thorim? You had to bug the encounter to do it. Will probably be on the list.
The "Immune" dragon mini-boss in OS? Would despawn when you went in the portal. Assuming it's on the list.
Gunship in ICC? Not sure if this is doable solo or not. I never could figure it out.
What about the TB BOsses? Will they soften those two tank mechanics? They can be soloed, but...
Zon'ozz? Are they going to do something to the ball?
Ultraxion? Are they going to allow you to phase?

These are just the ones off the top of my head that leave me with questions about if it could be done, based on changes. I'm sure I could think of a few more bosses that would top the list, but those are the "biggies".

ROS? Soloable, but I'm not sure how easily for all classes.

RoS drains your mana quite quickly, and if you are OOM (or your maximum mana is under 7020), you can't interrupt him and he'll chain-cc you until you are dead.

No change to Kalecgos...very disappointing. Wouldn't be that hard to either put up a clickable portal or just keep pulling you between phases.

Re: Patch 5.1

And the 5.1 problems begin

When are you being flagged? The quest should not flag you. Flagging for PvP should be the same as always on a PvE realm. If you're accidentally attacking opposite faction guards, you will be flagged as always.

The quests themselves do not flag you, but there are guards that will you hit them or they aggro you, and I saw flak cannons that I assume fire shots that flag you.

Not the only report on those cannons flagging you from afar.

INB4 Teranoid/Flex come in and tell me that's how PVP works.

Hitting a flagged player or a guard has flagged you since forever, I know that -- but I cant remember an instance of getting flagged from a range attack from an npc.

Well, I know how you can give shit to others -- I was just preempting because if I had not mentioned the Flak cannons flagging people at range, you would have said to just stay away from guards and not aoe mindlessly near flagged players.
