Help picking new server (high pop horde - west data center)
Hello all.
Me and a few friends are looking to transfer off our server and I was hoping some of you could make some suggestions. We're looking for a high population horde server that is on a west coast data center since we all live on the west coast. I've done a few trace routes and checked the usual sites like wow census, wow progress, and guild ox but sadly it seems like most of the well developed servers are on the east coast centers. I have a few servers that I'm considering currently, like Hyjal, but I was hoping some of you could help as well. We don't care about the time zone, just the location in order to reduce latency as much as possible. We prefer PvE servers since we mainly want to raid but would consider PvP if the server is better.
So to recap: High pop / horde / west coast data center (Phoenix/LA)
Thanks to everyone in advance.

I used Wowprogress (US (EN) WoW Realms) in conjunction with Wowpedia (US realm list by datacenter).
On Wowprogress starting from the top, looking where Horde is dominant, searching for the realm on the Wowpedia page your best bets look to be -
Blackrock - PvP, LA, PST, H/A: 1 / 0.12
Kil'Jaeden - PvP, LA, PST, H/A: 1 / 0.75
Unfortunately neither are PvE. PvE servers generally aren't great for raiding.
Both have plenty of guilds (at all levels), plenty of players and you have the choice between a very heavily dominated Horde server and a more balanced server (but still in Horde's favour).

Well, on Blackrock, he wouldn't actually have to worry about PVP as horde

But Blackrock does have a reputation for being asshats, but that might be different if you are actually horde on Blackrock.
It is. You'd be one of the asshats!
Actually that's not true, most of the Alliance are asshats too.

Hmmm thanks yeah I'm going to add Blackrock to the list and see if my friends like it as well.

Keep in mind that I'm Alliance, though.

He'd have to find him first... that small of an Alliance pop seems like it would make it easy to hide in the bushes.

Well looks like Blackrock is the winner. I have far too much respect for Theck's contributions to try and jump him, but if I was going to do it I would show him the respect he deserves and bring an entire raid to take him out. Hope to see you around

KJ is no better. In fact they're probably worse.

That must be some pretty awesome Peacebloom to have made it into Theck's guild! It doesn't even LOOK like normal Peacebloom...
