Can't really say as to the speed (only thing I'd notice is if the really long threads (successes, frustrations, etc) stopped sometimes taking 20-30 seconds to open, and that doesn't happen every time so hard to say), but I'm noticing when I open some pages I'm seeing a flash of the content with no style sheet for a second before it finishes loading which is... odd, but not a problem.

I see it too. It's really annoying (Chrome, current version), as it causes a double entry in the history, so back buttons Don't Work Right.

Hmm, something different now, the site's actually causing my whole browser (Firefox 11.0) to hang up for a second or two sometimes on loading new pages. Mostly when I first come to the site, seems to stop after I've been browsing around a while.

I've noticed a speed improvement. I haven't really been on site much since mid last week, so I'm unsure

I'm the opposite, I've noticed a significant delay now. I believe it's related to the banner ads - they are now the one thing that takes 30+ seconds to load.

(I also haven't donated to get rid of them because, the last time I checked, I was unable to donate directly and was required to sign up with PayPal.)

I've noticed the same, not sure why that's happening, the rest of the site is being cached on a CDN so it's much quicker, but somehow that's messing with the iframes, I guess.

However, to your advantage, the rest of the page loads while the banner is empty for 30 seconds, correct?

Kind of. The whole browser just freezes for about 30 seconds, I can't change browser tabs or anything. But when the banner starts moving again, the whole site is loaded.

Well that's not ok then.
For me everything works fine but the ad isn't there until it loads, no hindrance on performance.

This is pretty much what happens to me, too, though I hadn't connected it to the ad banners. The first time I visit the site there's a pretty long freeze. It freezes for a few seconds on other pages after that, but eventually stops doing it.

is this why my bookmark stopped working? I had to google maintankadin and then redo my bookmark, cause it was telling me no website existed at my old bookmark.

Same here. No 30 second freezes as reported, but it does usually hang for 1-2 seconds whenever I open a new page. Firefox 11.0. Also, clicking on smilies doesn't work sometimes.

I have been getting issues with some of the posting links not working.

IE: smilies not being clickable and the text tags not working.

Using firefox 11 at home and IE v8(luls@military) at work.

Only seen it at work so far (where I haven't had issues with freezing, I'm on IE7 here), but the site seems faster today.

I did get an error page a couple of minutes ago where it said no cached version was available and I had to click a button to get a "live" version.

Edit: Okay, it still hangs up a little in my home browser.

I do not see that any longer.

Let me go through my Chrome settings and see if I am blocking things.

Okay, Ghostery is picking up the script and blocking it for being part of GamerDNA. Turn off blocking it works fine. Enable blocking and none of the other JavaScript works.
