A little while back, MMO-champ did a poll to see how long people had been playing WoW. It ended up with something like 90% of people had played since Vanilla, which is pretty much a lie. So, thought I'd do a similar series of polls never mind I guess you can only do one poll, so here it is. No, Ghostcrawler, I'm not making an Alpha option just for you.

I started about 3 months after release and played continuously for four and a half years. For the past 2 years or so I have played sporadically but my account is currently deactivated. I have no idea if Pandacraft will entice me to return.

Like Worldie, I imagine most people from this forum are going to be in the Vanilla/BC area. BC for me. I thiiiink I started playing around 2.3... was February 2008 though for sure. Oh and eesh - I thought I'd been playing for 5 years or so. Looks like it was only four.

That's also the problem with forum-based polls, even one on sites as big as MMO-Braindead (sorry) - the people who are passionate about it (one way or another) tend to go there, which means mostly early users. You'll probably get the same result here.

I think I started in 3.2, but didn't really get into it until after Fall of the Lich King came out. Been a tank the entire time.

I guess one thing I definitely don't miss from the 40m raid days was splitting 5 pieces of loot to the raid.

Vanilla, I think the day after it came out in Europe. Should be 12th Feb 2005, will check when I get home.
