Re: IRL - Warcraft Addiction Film
I went through the same process. I saw "Free D3!!!" and leapt at the chance to get it. Then, about 2 or 3 hours later, I realized that I'd be paying $180 for that "free" copy of Diablo III - a game that'll cost $60 at release.
Buyer's remorse kicked in with a VENGEANCE. I don't really "quit" wow, I just tend to take a couple months break here and there (usually 2-3 months, sometimes less, sometimes more), but at least I can afford to keep the sub up even if I'm not logging in all that often. But still! $180 for a $60 game? Ell Oh Ell. I'm not even planning on using my beta access to Pandaclysm; I might just ebay it or something, assuming there's a market for it (and it's not against ToS - pretty sure it's something of a gray area).

It's only $180 for a $60 game IF you aren't using WoW for that year. If you're continuing to play, then you're paying your sub that you would be paying anyway AND getting a copy of D3 for doing so. The only thing I'm hoping, is there is a way to pay a little extra to pick up the special edition without having to buy an entirely new copy.

Sorry for the late answer, but I took some time off the forum
Anyway, your answer in the official FAQ:

What if I purchase the Diablo III Collector's Edition?
If you decide to purchase the Diablo III Collector's Edition when it's available, and then choose to add your Collector's Edition license key to the Battle.net account associated with your existing World of Warcraft Annual Pass promotion, you will receive all of the benefits associated with the Collector's Edition, plus receive four months of World of Warcraft game time which is eligible towards your 12-month subscription commitment. After you purchase the Diablo III Collector's Edition you just need to input the product key into the Battle.net account associated with your World of Warcraft 12-month commitment and that account will then receive the next 4 months of World of Warcraft game time for free. For example, if you already had a month of game time on the associated World of Warcraft account when you input your Diablo III Collector's Edition product key, it would then be 5 months until your next subscription payment was due.

Re: IRL - Warcraft Addiction Film
Well made and congrats on getting it together. I was very addicted during the TBC days but managed to get it under control by leaving the 25 man server first rat race and going down to 3 nights a week 10 man raiding since WotLK (which becomes one night a week after content is clear). My big attachment to the game is one person and if he quit I probably would too. WoW is just something we play together, not something I get up in the morning to play.
