Dunno if it's something you did, but shift + f5 "fixed" it.

Can you do an update? Looks like you're not quite up to date (.66 instead of .79)
Mine looks like your picture now. Button to the right of the text box, gray bar expanded to fully "cover" it.

Uhh... mine's now moved over to the left side of the page and the search button is below the box. BEFORE, the search box and button were on the right side on the same line.
I tried updating Chrome but stuff went haywire and crashed so I'll give it another shot.

I tried Shift + F5 to no avail. Deleted my cache and it works fine now.

Trying to update Google Chrome is causing me more headache than is necessary. Anyway, it's not updated. The bar is back on the right. It's totally live-able that way so I'll just shut up and say THANK YOU for adding that in!

K, well at home, on my up to date Chrome browser, the same thing is happening. And it also flips from the left side to the right side depending on what page I'm on.

Have you tried clearing your cache?
Click the wrench icon on the browser toolbar.
Select Tools.
Select Clear browsing data.
In the dialog that appears, select the checkboxes for the types of information that you want to remove.
Use the menu at the top to select the amount of data that you want to delete. Select beginning of time to delete everything.
Click Clear browsing data.
Click the wrench icon on the browser toolbar.

Select Clear browsing data.

For what it's worth, I'm using a recent build of Chrome (17.0.963.79), and the search box seems to render well on the right.
