On the topic of jp.
I was under the impression that jp wouldn't be reset until 5.0. As such, i've been starting to save my jp for t12 when it gets reduced to that currency level. Today someone told me (not a reputable source, but 4k jp is worth looking into) that it will reset at 4.3. Does anyone know exactly when it will reset?
Thanks
Thanks

Valor will get turned into Justice and Conquest into Honour at 4.3/new PvP season.
If you are over the cap of 4k Justice/Honour due to this you will be unable to earn more until you spend enough to drop under the cap.

And if there are Valor items that you still need, rather that grinding trolls to get them, 4.3 is close enough that you can simply make sure you are JP capped and wait 2 more weeks.

Re: On the topic of jp.
That was the primary motivation behind my question. I'm not vp capped, but jp capped. I can buy a 2200 piece of jp gear, let my 1700 vp roll into jp in 4.3, and gobble up some smexy t12.

In fact you can have 4k JP + unlimited Valor, the valor will simply get converted to JP at 4.3 giving you milliondy+4k JP.
What that will mean is that you can't earn anymore JP until you drop back below 4k total.

So lets say I have 3k vp and 4k jp when 4.3 hits. I'll have 7k jp after patch, but can't earn more until I drop below 4k? Sounds like I should stockpile both, then?

Exactly. Assuming it works as it has in previous patches and there's no reason to think it won't.

I thought the valor converted down to jp returned gold over 4k?

I swear it used to be converted over the cap but apparently for 4.2 it was toal 4k JP, anything more converts to 47 silver per JP.

There was no used to. This conversion has happened only once and worked as Nika said. The conversion of emblems to JP allowed you over the cap but prevent earning until you spent under.
