Need some ideas for farming.

Lavascale and Sagefish are the objects of my fish-hatred. I can use both on my toons, and they aren't in pools.

Don't matter if you're out to grief a guildie to fish lots ;p

But without open water, that means I would have to move from pool to pool... Lavascale I don't even need to move.

(Although I still need the damn turtle...)

I think some people need to accept that some people just LIKE farming. I'd take farming over spending hours listing and relisting deals on the AH just in order to make money to get the item I wanted in the first place.

Plus, like others have said... guild and personal achievements are also nice (for those who care).

But Lavascale and Sagefish are non-pool fish which don't count towards the achievement as it is strictly pool fish.

That's why I hate them! I'd be happy to fishfarm those two alllll day and night if they were pool fish, and/or counted towards the achievement.

As it is, I'm not happy to fishfarm those.

i dont mind farming fathom eels cause i use them for the buff, and they count towards the fish feast achieve
its the same for farming herbs, i make flasks that count towards our cauldrons

And you know I have max level fishing, but I never really got into making money with fishing. Maybe it will be a good idea to give it a shot. I can mindlessly farm happily. Back in BC that's the only way I could get money is farming ore. (I wasn't too game savvy. )

Farm the mats for the Feasts.

I'm selling the Fathom Eel for 140G/stack, and Lavascale catfish is even higher, as much as 200G/stack.

Sagefish have schools.

There are more spread across the world, but I remember finding schools on the river that goes past Tarren Mill as well as in the pond just South of the village.

Actually, I might recall incorrectly, but I think that sagefish can only be caught in schools (pedobear approves).

Not Deepsea Sagefish, which are an ingredient for the Cataclysm fish feast and also 90 intellect food. They can only be caught in, uh, the deep sea. Cataclysm coastal non-school waters.

Well guys I think I'll update a bit. I went to the horses mouth and asked my GM what I could do or farm to help out the guild. She told me to just farm orbs for our new recruits when they are off their two week probation period. So I am happy to announce that my task is going to be grinding heroics and saving up orbs once my GM gives me a list of the needs. (I am going to also get guild groups going for auto-100 rolls. ) I think I am going to still farm something just as a show of "Hey I am not just your blacksmith!" We also just got the big cauldron guild recipe so whoo for 25s!

I did notice that I can make quite a bit money selling my orbs for crafting projects. I started off with (an embarrassing) 100 gold and in a day went up to 7kish just running regular heroics. I also managed to get a couple stacks of elementium ore to prospect and got a few inferno rubies come 4.3. I think I am going to save up to 10k for my rogue (Love my rogue. It is literally my alter ego and I want legendary daggers and batman tier. ) Then going to either make flask for my guild's bank by buying mats or go fishing.
