I saw it on here but the best way to get fish caught up was to offer "For every fish you guys catch I'll catch 2." We got it done in a week that way.

i remember that achieve... 10man guild here we got it after like 2 months in (beat some 25man guilds or multi 10man guilds on our server)...i fished up about 4000 fish (about a month ago we finally started running now on fish) i stockpiles guppies and fathom eels then sold them when AH spiked and bought em when low.
Basiclly i fished about 3500, we had another guy do about 2500 (deviate fish), another chick did about 1500, another dude about 1300 and the other members of the team the rest.

You underestimate our guild's lack of desire to fish... I'm not entirely sure "punishing" you would even be enough to do it...

Not necessarily... have it be a multiple fish pool (small % chance that it's Lavascale.) That way people that want to fish Lavascale efficiently can still max their skill and fish in the lava, but people who want some gold/stockpiles for fish feast, while working on the achievement/turtle/whatever other benefits pools have, could still occasionally get the Lavascales.

Lavascale and Sagefish are the objects of my fish-hatred. I can use both on my toons, and they aren't in pools.
