Well, in baseball, i know that if you're winning in a blowout, you're not supposed to bunt or try to steal a base.
Also, Rams have scored 56 points total throughout the season, and they play against the Saints next week, who scored 62 points in a single game.

Yeah, baseball has a lot more of those unwritten rules, and the game's mechanics lend themselves to it a little bit more than football.

277 days until 2012 Olympics.
I always get excited for the Summer Olympics as it's generally the only time I'm able to watch the sports that I grew up competing in (swimming and water polo) on television. No more tech suits either which I'm glad about.
Oh, and my ASU Sun Devils aren't terrible this year in football. Yay!

I concur. It's about the only time I watch "sports" with exception to the occasional bout of soccer/tennis and my once in a blue moon trip to an actual sporting event (usually hockey/baseball.)

We live in a society where people born on third base constantly try to steal second, yet we expect people born with two strikes against them to hit a homerun on the first pitch.

I was watching the fourth quarter of that game last week, laughing my ass off the whole time. You couldn't have freaking scripted a better scenario for this circus to keep on truckin.

I'm still thinking it was deliberate. I swear the dolphins were praying Tebow would somehow defeat them so they could continue as a top contender for the Suck for Luck bowl.

LOL
The dolphins have pretty good talent too, so Luck could make a huge difference for them. I'll be annoyed if the Colts end up with him and he pans out though.

Just heard that the NCAA approved giving athletes stipends, up to $2,000 (per year I would assume). I think it's a good idea, though now that football players are actually allowed to work probably not as big of a deal as it once was.

Re: All about sports
hey now...it was Cam Newton's father! All athletes aren't starting QB's in BCS conferences though. I remember a few years ago when the Big12 tried to institute this and the NCAA threatened to ban them and any team they play from on down the line.

Re: All about sports
That cam newton didn't know was complete bullshit.
Heck, I remember an interview with Cam Newton where he was saying that he wanted to go to Mississippi State and Cam's dad was "No, you're going to Auburn". I'm pretty sure Cecil Newton gave lil innocent cam 185,000 reasons why he should go to Auburn instead.

He may have, unfortunately, the NCAA either couldn't or didn't want to prove it.

I guess they were more subtle than Reggie Bush
I would like to have them come harder on OSU tho... Pryor was changing cars more often than I purchase new shoes..
Oh yeah, crushing The U, if the allegations by that ponzi guy, would be fine by me as well
