I could go on and on and on and on and on about that topic. Both on why Gordon is an idiot, and the current personal conduct policy / drug policy / other policies leave me wanting for some real accountability from the NFL.

To see the way things originally shook out from Godon / Rice issues, I tweeted:

Gather round kids. Uncle Roger is going to tell you why Drugs are bad, and that bitch deserved to get knocked the fuck out.

The notion that the NFL, cops and prosecutors did not have the video is risible. Now that the cops are saying they did have the video and shared it with the NFL... well... I expect some middle manager to be thrown under the bus... on the other hand, I have no idea how the prosecutor did not raise charges against Rice, cuz I am pretty sure prosecution did see that video if the cops say they had the video early on.

To quote Roger Goodell as he commented on Spygate and Bountygate: "If you they didn't know about it, they should have known about it."

Hoist him by his own petard, methinks.

Taking bets on who ends with a better record Pitt, or Cleveland.

Right now, I'm inclined to say Cleveland. Not because I'm a fan of one, and hate the other. But because I've watched the games so far.

Pittsburgh looked good for exactly 2 quarters out of 8. The first two of the first game. At which point, I would have said they looked good. Since then, they have been outscored 50-9 in 6 quarters, and look dreadful in doing so.

My prediction:

Cleveland 6-10
Pittsburgh 5-11

And I think that Cleveland is going to have some great games this season. Nail Biters, just like what we've seen so far. But you can't win like that all the time. You have to get to a point where you are showing consistent play.

Pitt just looks slow, old, and tired. They've been sloppy and undisciplined defensively, and #7 still seems like a square peg in a round hole with portions of the Offensive Scheme.

which is sad. I mean... Is Tomlin a Bad Coach? Is the organization just too vested in the older defensive players? Are the coaches and players not a schematic match? Something isn't right.

I'll be the first to say, that I felt like Pettine was a "we'll just get this guy, because no one else wants the job" hire. I mean, when I first saw him, I thought. When did the guy from Storage Wars get into coaching?!

But, He has the team playing hard, and striving to get better.

At least he isn't Mornhiweg. I mean, not saying Pettine is bad. Like you said, he's getting the guys to play hard which is more than other coaches can say about their own locker rooms.

BTW, thoughts on Penn State crying foul over Ped State t-shirts?

PEd State.
Was it in bad taste? Definitely.
Should the fans have done it? Probably not.
Is this the sad current state of affairs? Maybe?
Is it any worse than me continuing to refer to that guy as rapeswithlager? not really.

Browns had a bye week, and I still had to fucking listen to news about Johnny fucking clipboard.
Patriots look.... terrible.
Shittsburgh lost to the bucs (insert lolface here)
Indians "are who we thought they were". And next year, with less Wahoo. (about time) Hopefully, the team looks a little better next year. Though... what we do with Swisher and his balloon payment of a contract is befuddling. At least Brantley, Santana, Gomes, Kluber, and (you have no idea how I loathe saying this) Chisenhall look to be a decent base to build around. Kipnis as well, if he can get healthy and back on the horse.

Earlier this year, he said he planned to play until he sucked, at which point he would retire.

I'm expecting the press conference any minute.

On another note Klaud, if you want to have some fun this Sunday during the Foosball games, keep refreshing #angrybrownsfan on twitter during the game. We post some fun stuff.

The Cleveland Browns are 2-2.

They could be 0-4.
They could be 1-3
THey are 2-2.
They could be 3-1.
THey could be 3-0-1
They could be 4-0.

They lost to the Steelers on a As time Expired FG in regulation.
They beat the saints on a FG as time expired in regulation.
They lost to the Ravens on a FG as time expired in regulation.
They beat the Titans on a TD pass with 1:07 on the clock. Tennessee drove, trying to kick a GW FG, but the sack did them in.

I have not seen a team that can look so utterly pathetic (see 1st half of GM1, and 1st of GM4 for examples), yet so dominant (see second half of those games), and so middle of the rd (see the other 2 games) as the Browns. Their defense can look beyond pathetic, (I tweeted yesterday during the first half that Stephen Hawking could rush for 100 yards against our defense), and then make adjustments and come back and be "for real" when it matters.

Looking at the next few weeks on the schedule, I would not be surprised if we hit 8 games into the season and are 2-6 or 6-2 heading into our game at Cincinnati.

I don't think they are a playoff team. I just don't see it in the cards. But, I don't think that we are going to be in the top half of the draft this year either.

From here on out, I would say it breaks down like this:

Pit - It's in Cleveland. Realistically speaking, we'll probably lose. 2-3
Jax - At JAx. This is a game we should win. 3-3
Oak - In Clev. This is a game we should win. 4-3
TB - In Clev. This is a game we should win. 5-3
Cin - In the queen city. Probably a loss. 5-4
Hou - in Clev. tough game to call. I'm giving them HFA in this game. 6-4.
Gordon returns.
ATL - in ATL. Loss. 6-5
Buf - in Buf. A game I think we should be able to win. 7-5. Gordon should make a big impact starting here.
Ind - In Clev. Doesn't matter. Loss. 7-6
Cin - In Clev. Another tough game to call. Probably still a loss 7-7
Car - in Car. I'm not as sold on the panthers as some. i think Cam is just too banged up (Rib, Ankle, Teeth) and they don't have a run game to speak of outside of Cam. Close, but a win.
8-7.
Bal - In Baltimore. Will depend on where they are in the playoff picture, but it should be another nail biter of a game. But probably a loss. 8-8.

And as a Browns fan? I'm ok with that. 8-8 is marked progress in the first year of a coaching change. While the hiring of Pettine in a lot of ways was... bizarre, I think that it's working. Even if he is the love child of a reality TV Star, and a WWE personality, I like that his demeanor. I like his press conferences. And I like that I haven't seen much of Haslam in the news. Maybe, after a couple of messed up / really bizarre seasons, we might be starting to rid ourselves of the Factory of Sadness.

8-7.

Cam should be 100% by Week 16, and he's been about 1% of their run game this year as opposed to 33% in years past. DWill and JStew should be back (unless of course they get hurt AGAIN which honestly seems like the most likely thing at this point).

Now if you could tell me which Panthers D will show up, I'd feel better about telling you how the game will go. Will it be the team that struggled against Pitt/Baltimore/1st Half Chicago or the one that excelled against Tampa/Detriot/2nd Half Chicago.

In the Browns favor is that the Panther's have historically struggled against 3-4 based teams.

Carolina's problems with running have plagued my dreams so far this season. I had Williams on a Fantasy team to start the season, thinking with Cam doing the surgery in the Offseason, I would have a safe bet to see a few points here and there as a low end flex / bye week type of guy.

And that has been abysmal.

COupled with my son having Cam in the same league, and I just... Ugh. What a rough way to go for the team.

And yes. There defense has been abysmal at times. SOrt of like Cleveland's D. Thinking this game could be decided by which teams Defense shows up for the second half. I'm still going to hold out hope that the Browns can win it. They have shown that they have the ability to win against middle of the road teams, and that's what I see Carolina as. A solid "parity of the league" middle of the road team.

What I'm REALLY hoping for, is a face smashing, teeth breaking, rout of the Steelers this weekend. But, that's because it's the Steelers. I like A Rod more than I like the Steelers.

Man my Seahawks played a lousy game last night. 3 TDs called back on penalties, defensive miscommunication leaving big gains open... Fortunately Washington's norm is worse than the Seahawks' lousy so we escaped with the win.

Still, some guys had good games. I thought our linebackers - particularly Wagner and Wright - had a good game. Marshawn Lynch was very Lynch-like, and Percy Harvin played well even if it didn't count.

Russell Wilson was truly amazing to watch. I wonder if Redskins fans are blaming their defense for his many escapes, or if they just chalk it up to Wilson being Wilson. To Washington's credit, this is the first time I've seen Wilson take a few big hits. I also wonder how many Washington fans wish they could have had Wilson and 3 first-round picks instead of RGIII.

KABOOM!

That's the sound of "Hoyer the Destroyer" (as the signs at the stadium called him) dropping bombs on the Pittsburgh secondary en route to a feel good win for the Factory of Sadness. We are now 3-2, 1-2 in the Division, and heading into the aforementioned soft part of the schedule. I am a little concerned about the Raiders and Bucs games. They have both shown signs of life this season, and they could be a "trap" game for a team like the Browns who is still trying to win.

And I'm going to keep saying this. Isaiah Crowell is the most impressive running back the Cleveland Browns have on the roster. We knew that Tate was a decent back. We drafted West at a position that would lead you to believe that he was going to be good. But Isaiah Crowell was an undrafted Free Agent who has been making a name for himself since the preseason game against St Louis where he Plowed a Safety, and then had several other good runs.

44 rushes 237 yards 4 TD's

Now, he has coughed it up twice, losing one of them, but I think that's going to get better. The fumble against the steelers was a pretty spot on hit by the defender.

But this guy went undrafted. And he's a MONSTER. I have to say, right now, it's good to be a Browns fan. The team is "our kind of team". Like the city, and Ohio as a whole, its a tough, gritty, group. This is the kind of team we like. (at least as football fans go. I know, the roundball fans are all slobbering over the dream team in the Q. I'm not a roundball fan.

Only the Browns could:

Stage the biggest comeback in NFL history as a road team.
The week after, DESTROY their arch rival
The week after, LOSE TO A WINLESS TEAM, and look absolutely pathetic in the process.

I hope the NFL cracks down Suggs for that hit on Blount. There is simply no room for a play like that in the NFL.

I know the contact ended up a bit high on the leg, but that was only because Blount gave ground and moved about a yard back at the last moment as Suggs lowered his head. If that hadn't happened, Suggs' trajectory was downward and the contact would have been even more dangerous than it was.

The reaction by Michaels and Collinsworth was pretty priceless too. The funny thing is the penalty that was called. I don't think the hit technically broke any rules, and clearly occurred before the whistle blew, so it wasn't late as the Collinsworth speculated. I don't think the refs cared whether it broke a rule or not, it was just too damn dirty to not be called.

You can see a video of it here, in case you missed it: http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-high ... hness-call

That was a dirty play, by a known dirty player. A nice hefty fine should be in order. That was obviously done with intent to injure. No different than doing something for a bounty IMO
