Well, as long as this is a completely random hodge-podge of sports-related stuff, here's one of my favorite stats of this college football season:

So far this season on plays where Stanford's opponents have attempted field goals, Stanford is outscoring them 7-6.

Anyone else have a bad habit of always cheering for the loser in major sporting events? Besides supporting the Patriots and having them win, just about every other sports team I've ever cheered for during playoffs of any kind seems to lose.

I want the Rangers to win, but thats more because I think it would be the ultimate in life redemption for Josh Hamilton who seems to walk around perpetually under ladders with black Cats in front of him, while breaking mirrors, and a great testament to Nolan Ryan, and trying to do it "the right way".

When I first moved to St Louis from the UK I saw one of the chain of restaurants he owns, with his name on the front, never having even heard of him before I asked the people I was with why on earth someone would name a restaurant 'Poo Holes', there were not impressed with my 'dissing' of their baseball hero
