Oh those Dodgers and Padres.

Great tweet came out of it though.

Carlos Quentin is lucky it was just Matt Kemp waiting for him in the parking lot and not this guy. #Dodgers #Padres

Quentin comes off as a prick. Way to incite bad blood between two teams that didn't have it before.

I don't get the NHL's resistance to letting their players play in the Olympics. The sport fanbase is in the "small but rabid" category and the Olympics are a great time to introduce people to the game who might not watch it otherwise.

The players are great and fit the "humble athlete" trope to a tee, the game is great fun to watch both live and on TV, a regular season Caps game is as tense as a Ravens playoff game for me, so the league should jump at any chance to push the sport.
We live in a society where people born on third base constantly try to steal second, yet we expect people born with two strikes against them to hit a homerun on the first pitch.

* Quentin banned 8 games, Grienke out 8 weeks due to injury
* PAY-Roid tried to buy his medical records so he could shred them

* Kobe likely done with a torn achilles

* Gronk's arm seems to be falling apart

Kobe will be back.. he's that type.

If the Padres are smart, they'll keep Quentin at 8 games, because less will fuel the bad blood with the Dodgers.

Perhaps we've seen the last of Arod. It will be really fun if he does get back on the field.

I have a hard time blaming him for the lost to Baltimore. The game is won, you just need a stop on Defense. And they couldn't.

If anything, I blame John Fox more for horrible time management in the last minutes of the 4th quarter, including kneeling with 30 secs down... I mean, that's why they brought peyton manning to the ponies, to do heroics in the last 2 minutes of the game!

No way in hell that game should have even SNIFFED overtime. While Manning didn't play great in that game (and I maintain that Pick-6 was Pass Interference, but, coulda shoulda woulda), as I'm fond of saying, he did his job, he gave them a lead late with little time left, and a TD lead at that.

I don't blame him at all for the loss, because a CB made one of the dumbest decisions I've ever seen.

Well, if everything that the FBI says is true about new Browns Owner Haslam, we could be in a whole new era of WTF happens to the Browns.

He negotiated to purchase the browns for $1B. He paid 550M up front, and the rest is due during training camp of next season (I'm not sure on that, could be this year).

If he gets idicted, or goes to prison before the deal is complete, what then?

How are the Browns worth 1 billion?

Browns have the largest Sports fan club (Browns Backers) In the World. They have never been close to black out. They sell out consistently, despite the rumor mill press trying to paint the picture differently. They own the stadium. It's not a lease, It's not a partnership. It's owned by the team. If the team moves, ownership of the stadium does revert to the City, and if they were to move before 2025, the city owes them NOTHING.

Talk about a gold digger.

Since the team is safely out of their hands, I could care less what happens to those two. Hopefully each of their lawyers with bleed the other dry.

This year's draft was such a snooze fest. Boring Boring Boring Boring. And then, in the infinite wisdom of Lombardi (michael, not Vince) we took a Dlineman who has never played as an OLB to be our new OLB opposite Kruger, when we had a 2 years start who fit the mold already.

Oh, and the guy we drafted lit up the SEC with 4.5 sacks last year. Yes. We're off to a stellar start.

At least we put the "bark" back in the dawg pound (ugh... Kill me now)

I learned two things last night from the draft:

Manti Te'o is basically radioactive
Buffalo will never win anything. Ever.

Aaaand Westbrook goes down for the playoffs with a tear. That makes the West even more jumbled than it was.

I do swear the Heat are getting every break they could, at least as far as injuries are going. And it does seem like the injury fairy is much more active this season than others, seems like more Stars went down this year than any in recent memory.

And that's not even touching Rose being at 100% but still not playing.
